+2. I don’t blame you for not *wanting* to teach in the current environment, but it’s your best current solution and doesn’t have to be forever. |
OP, what age did you teach? Join some homeschool groups on Facebook, this could be a niche for you to teach classes to homeschoolers while your kids are in school/in the nanny’s care. Outschool.com is another great place, you can teach there & choose the hours that are good for you. I’ve been a homeschooler- there’s a good market out there for you to make money without working the full school schedule!
The doordash suggestion is also really good. If you can put together some classes & a couple of hours of doordash, that can make a big difference without impacting your kids’ schedules. |
There is a huge teacher shortage. She could solve this problem within weeks if she wanted to |
Sounds like you want the life of a pampered princess. Time to get off your ass and start contributing. |
Don’t stress about the broken windows, board up with a plywood board & let it be. You’ll get to it when you get to it. |
If she needs to use plywood as windows, that's a wake up call that something needs to significantly change. Get a job OP. Then maybe downsize your home. You will be much happier when you aren't buried in a bunch of debt, I promise. |
Get an adjunct job for evenings at a local college. It’s not a great salary, but it’s very flexible and you can do it after your partner returns from work or while the kids are in preschool. Do that until they are all in school snd then move to full time work. |
That pays next to nothing, and OP probably isn’t qualified anyway. |
This. The last thing I would be doing is whining on an anonymous board, I'd would be fine tuning my resume and finding a job stat! If you have to work when your DH is home, so be it. Go take care of the family you created! |
OP you are so lazy. With each update you sound bad. |
Thanks. |
OP doesn’t want to do anything about her situation, she just wants someone to give her a money tree. |
I think all of her kids are in school? That's a ton of hours that are available to work. PT or FT. Something. Earn income. |
She fancies herself above that, though. |
It actually ends up costing quite a bit more than that |
