| Hat-wearing Trump voter here, I drive a Subaru. |
I was commenting on political opinions, not boycotts. Supporting any of Trump’s public a$$ kissers indicates that you find the a$$ kissing acceptable. You’re not a “Trumper”, but you are ok giving money to his supporters. |
There is being a douche. And then there’s being a Trumpy douche. |
Be over it then
Goya chose to become overtly political. Elon Musk chose to become overtly political. We can choose to support their brands or not. It’s quite capitalist and American to make such decisions, actually. Just as it’s very capitalist and American for brands to decide whether to advertise on Twitter or not. |

I bought a different EV because I didn't want my money going to Musk. This was a little over a year ago, when he was douchy but not insane.
I don't judge my neighbors who got a Tesla, though. They share my lefty politics, they just made a different decision about what works for them. |

Let’s see. Yesterday he tweeted this:
My pronouns: Prosecute/Fauci So yeah, I’d say Tesla is going to suffer. |
| That explains why I saw a Tesla with VA Don't Tread on Me plates. |
Not really. I've seen pickups, hybrids, Mini Coopers, Mercedes, Mustangs, Toyotas, etc. with the DToM plates. |
| Tesla drivers were annoying from the start. “I’ve got so much money I literally don’t know what else to do with it.” |
The Model 3 wasn't particularly expensive when it first came out, though. The Model X was, sure, but they're not really super high-end luxury cars. Plenty of people drive more expensive cars. |
Right. Other than the X, they really aren't expensive compared to many other vehicle. People don't buy them to be showy, they buy b/c of the tech, to be conscious and never having to get another oil change again. |

it's crazy/completely expected given current corporate "governance" that tesla has literally paid Musk billions based on his supposed unique value to the company and he is currently tanking the company |
