Used Teslas are selling for above list price anyway, so you wouldn't really take a hit.

Just talked to a sales person. Car market is definitely softening.

Maybe, but Carvana's got a four-year-old Model 3 listed for $76,000: https://www.carvana.com/cars/tesla

I really don't think there is any completely ethical consumption under capitalism. I try to avoid the worst things but individual consumer action isn't going to go far in changing the world. BUT, I don't want to be reminded of Elon Musk's existence all the time. This is the same way I feel about entertainers when I learn something bad about them. I don't listen to Panic! At The Disco anymore not because I think it's wrong to listen, but because it's not enjoyable when I'm thinking about alleged sexual abuse of minors at the same time.

I’m so happy driving my 2005 hybrid Civic.

I mean, it's something to be aware of if you're driving a Tesla and care what people think. I have lots of friends who bought them when Elon Musk was just kind of a d-bag and not malicious. But I could easily see people making assumptions.

This is ridiculous. Our country needs to stop ruining everything by making Goya brand to teslas political. Since the beginning of this country people who make things have their own political opinions and preferences. We are way over-moralizing peoples political opinions. So over it

So eat your Goya in a Tesla if that's what you want to do with your money. Those brands remind people of trump because the brand owners support him. Trump is repulsive and many don't want to have to be reminded of that driving around or eating a meal. No thanks.

Being a Trumper in 2022 certainly says something about your morals.

But owning a very environmentally friendly car and not dumping it when it's still in great condition doesn't make someone a Trumper.

Supporting the NE Patriots, vacationing in FL, eating Chik-Fil-A, having Cigna insurance, owning a Toyota (ooooh), getting a delivery from UPS, buying hardware at Home Depot...........None of these make someone a Trumper. Voting for Trump makes you a Trumper. That's it. That's all.

Musk was a douche before all of this so I don't understand why people are surprised. However, I doubt that drivers of toyotas or those shopping at Trader Joes are doing deep dives into their CEOs. Your friend is a jerk and has way to much time on his/her hands to be judging everyone. Get new friends.

If I owned a Tesla already, I would keep it and continue to drive it. I don't but my next car is going to be electric. I will never buy a Tesla because of Musk.

He's becoming a more vocal douche and other companies aren't as associated with their CEOs. Maybe this is all just a play to get sales for the cyber truck when it comes out
