"Driving a Tesla is No Different From Wearing a Red MAGA Hat..."

Respecting freedom of expression is an "antic?'

Interesting view you have there.

What flavor DB are you? Musk fan boy? Trumper?

BS every single one of my friends and myself have.

We had three all gone.

My next door neighbor had four all gone.

The used car market is full of them

Apparently Musk's quick pivot to the right (endorsing DeSantis), sexually harassing a flight attendant on his private jet, being investigated for killing thousands of animals for Neuralink research, and the known issues at the Tesla plant in Fremont (a noose hanging, reports of other hostile work environment conditions) make driving a Tesla about the worst thing you can do in DC. Lot's of other electric vehicles to choose from if that's your thing.

Ironic since most Magats can't afford a Tesla.

NOPE

You still drive one I know you are a racist antisemite idiot.

Easy.

Got rid of mine so I have no issue thinking this.

Not to mention we had three all three were absolute crap.

Honestly Musk gave me PLENTY of reasons not to buy a Tesla years ago. If you were paying any attention the last year’s nonsense didn’t come as a shock. And have long been other plug in options. They just weren’t prestigious enough for the luxury car folks. Anyway glad people are finally getting it.

Drive whatever vehicle you like.

And, your friend is an idiot, OP.

Agree this isn't new. He's always been loathsome. But I'm glad people are aware now.

I don't own a Tesla but if I did I wouldn't trade it in just for the association. That doesn't hurt his bottom line or help the planet. But I do think it's funny that he's alienating the group most likely to buy his cars; the right either don't want Teslas or can't afford them.

He has always been a gross womanizer like his dad and Trump. So I am not surprised. I prefer Prius so not worried about Tesla or Twitter either. He has always been a unhinged jerk. Remember how he insulted the man who was helping with the Asian cave rescue of trapped school boys?

Ridiculous. People can't just sell or trade in their cars like that. Good for you. I'm happy you feel good about your decision, but a lot of people can't take the financial hit of selling and buying something with the same types of features.

Trading in the Teslas en masse is apparently the best way to send a message. Most of the cars are leased and residual value is a huge driver of the cost competitiveness of lease terms. When residual values fall, the lease gets more expensive ...

How is your personal decision not to take a one-time hit of a few thousand dollars different than, say, Wal-mart's decision to put profits ahead of other ESG values??

Anonymous wrote:This is silly but I gotta say, I think I’m significantly less likely to buy a Tesla. I don’t want my car to make me think about Elon Musk. That in no way means I think people with Tesla are endorsing his BS.

I've always been an Elon Musk skeptic. I didn't have any personal feelings about him either way until his bizarre procreation practices came to light. I think he's basically a female version of Elizabeth Holmes, even with his success in some areas.

I think Tesla will crash and burn (some of the cars, literally) eventually. They are data sieves. The only reason they haven't been hacked en masse is that no one has had enough incentive, yet. I also think their interior setup is dangerous with that huge touchscreen, but I digress.

I don't know what you are talking about. I'd have to shell out an additional 20-30K right now to get a car with similar features. It's not in my budget. I keep my cars a long time and it's not been a long time. We aren't talking about a few thousand dollars.

Hahaha! So you're one of these 'do as i say, not as i do' people. Clearly lots of tesla owners have dumped their cars because values matter and they don't want to be hypocrites
