Jesus Christ. I hope he and his family get the therapy they will need to process this.

They and the million (or millions?) of Americans who have witnessed the violence of mass shootings. While he has an interesting perspective, think of all the kids who have PTSD now after simply going to school on a day when a shooter decides to show up.

If only the left could do whatever they want without public scrutiny

This is the threat. If you don't go patronizing drag shows, you have nothing to worry about. If you don't say gay, you have your freedom of speech. If you don't go into a mosque or a synagogue, you don't need to concern yourself with your safety in those places. If you don't board a Democrat Party bus, you're not going to get run off the road. If you don't go to the polling place, you don't have to worry about missing work because you're waiting to vote. If you don't mail in your ballot, you don't have to worry about whether you're committing voter fraud. And so on and so on.

You forgot something. If you don’t get yourself raped or allow your daughter to get raped, you won’t need abortions.

I really hope they can get through this.

I have confidence they can. They seem like a loving family. I wish I could do more to support people like this. Our society needs them to set an example for the rest of us.

You can.

You can also give blood, so when the next shooting happens, there will be more resources.

And you can vote for politicians who support gun control.

They vote. A lot. And they’re okay with people dying so they can keep their toys rather than voting for a safer society. They also care more about their feelings toward guns than they do about things like statistics and facts.

They're also single issue voters.

69% of Americans do not own a gun.

Are you aware that gay people have historically not been allowed to donate blood?

They’re also cool with making it harder to vote in hopes of suppressing those who would vote for reasonable gun control. I know this because they keep voting for politicians who keep doing that.

I really think we’ll see change as the next generation of voters take a stand. The kids who grew up with active shooter drills in classrooms. The kids who got cell phones much earlier than their parents planned on giving them phones so they could call or text in an emergency. The ones who know to run, hide, fight, as well as we knew to exit quickly and orderly during a fire drill. The ones who don’t get shot will vote for the ones who were lost and to keep mass shootings from being a daily occurrence.

Straight people can help too. I’m anemic so I can’t give blood either. So I donate more $. We do what we can.

BS. It’s the GOP who REFUSE to take action. Do not both sides this or blame everyday people. This lays at feet of GOP who want us to live in terror and keep us divided.

This is it, in a nutshell. Very well said.

I may be misreading the comment, but the PP wasn't both-sidesing this, they were blaming the people who vote for the do-nothing GOP toadies who worship and glorify guns.

Thank you. I was just wondering if I had a typo or something.

That is absolutely not the reason we haven't had gun control enacted. Something like 70% of American are for sensible gun control measures. It's because GOP elected officials are beholden to the NRA.

Biden signed the most comprehensive gun safety bill in 30 years. It's the will of our elected officials.
