Future king, needs to stand out from the crowd.

His suit matches the uniform colors.

Yes, Eugenie and then Fergie beside her.

All details were approved by the Queen. Sarah had a good relationship with the Queen and was around for decades. You can tell family/familial ties take precedence as they included even the disgraced former king of Spain.

Yep, Sarah remained close to the Queen. In fact, the queen's corgis are going to live with her.

I’ve been able to stream BBC on my phone.

You can't deny the historical proportion of this funeral. They have not had such a big funeral since the 1700s.

Which I find odd since they buried another monarch (her father) just 70-some years ago. And his father before him and so on.

Exactly. Was her father’s funeral not a big deal?

They didn’t have 24/7 media coverage back then.

For normal stuff or just regarding the funeral? On my laptop it was forcing me to login, which I obviously couldn’t do.

It was decent of them to allow Fergie to attend. I think Philip was the one who couldn’t stand her.

William and Harry (when not in uniform) have also been wearing blue suits this entire time, while the women have worn black. It’s clearly some sort of protocol.

Then why black pants and blue jacket for George?
Charlotte is just the cutest. Proud parents for sure.

His pants are navy too. Probably wanted to emulate his father who was wearing the Navy uniform.

That explains a lot. They look perfect.

I think William wore a similar blue suit/black tie combo during the walkabouts a few days ago.

Both navy and black are approved colors for this event. The black tie is the only thing that's not flexible, and you'll notice whenever William or George wears a blue suit, the tie is still black.

Outside of funeral attire, I don’t think George has ever worn a solid black tie. They’ve been navy stripe or patterned.

I think most of us were wondering about the size of the crowd, duration of events, etc. Not viewship.

But the last long-serving British monarch to die died before air travel. They couldn't just keep Vicky the Q on ice until heads of state arrived on steamships.

She seems like a caring person and mother. She and Andrew seem practically remarried - they live together and spend a lot of time together. I read that she would regularly take walks with the Queen in Windsor.

Yes, Westminster Abbey has a much larger capacity than St George's. There was a period when monarchs were interred at Westminster Abbey, that changed in the 1800s, when they returned to St George's as the default resting place, and state funerals were held there. In "modern" times, it's much easier for important people to hop on a flight to attend, and we live in a global society, where people from far reaches can show up, so they've returned to Westminster for its capacity. The Queen Mother and Princess Diana had funerals at Westminster Abbey.

Sad to see the little kids crying, Charlotte, George and Edward’s son.

Sadder that we’re consuming that.

I found BBC live coverage through YouTube

Gotta love the Scottish and Irish pipes at most important moments approaching Windsor. You know the Queen personally signed off on that detail. She seemed to love Scotland more than her native England.
