I know numbers were smaller in the cast last year with COVID, but previously there were like 6 (maybe 8?) bees in each show - times 6 casts - that's 36 bees (48 if it was 8) And the same for mushrooms. So anywhere from 72 to 96 spots. Do you think it was a bigger group that that? |
Maybe not. So hard to tell really with the way the drop off/pick up was structured and I didn’t stick around outside to eyeball it super closely. I’m mostly basing my observation on the large number of adults outside the building when we walked up to check-in and remember thinking oh wow this is a lot more people than I imagined would be here. |
I'm totally already refreshing the home page, even though I know it won't be updated yet |
Ok, so I’m not the only one?! Whew. Lol. |
|
Are there six jewels? Ruby, sapphire, diamond, emerald…. What else? (Ameythist, pearl?)
|
Those are the six! |
yup! |
| What a tease, in my compulsive refreshing I saw they updated the announcement page and deluded myself into thinking they made the announcement about roles early! |
| Veteran Nutcracker mom here. I can tell you they will not release the info before Wednesday night. Trust me, you can wait until after dinner on Wednesday and good luck getting your children to bed before the results are out! |
I already told my kid we are not checking until Thursday AM. Mommy needs to go to bed before that. |
| Does anyone know if it will be back to normal casting/choreography with the full number of dancers (instead of fewer people on stage because of covid) ? |
They haven't said. I'm assuming it is! |
I hope so! Better chance for a "good" role and fewer castings to deal with |
| A lot of newcomers this year, they would have said something. Last Nutcracker there was an email sent after the audition that due to the reduced roles, more students would not be cast than usual. I kept it from DD until the morning of casting day and I'm glad. She was besides herself all day long, couldn't have imagined days of that. |
| T-27 hours! |
