Rehearsals are consistent, typically early afternoon and last minute changes are rare. I believe this year is the first year without Donna Glover although I did see her name on the website as Nutcracker Coordinator, so someone please correct me that I'm wrong!!! I'm sorry to say, I don't believe that it'll run as smoothly without her.

Updated the website with Nutcracker Audition Times and specifically had her email address as Nutcracker Coordinator. So it's not just a ghost of Nutcrackers past!

Warm up and they learn choreography of the different roles they're eligible for. The audition is performing the choreography they just learned.

Oh, ok — good to know. I had been telling DD the audition will most likely be structured similar to a regular class. Sounds like that might not be the case.

This might be a s/o of this post but I am curious how many local studios do full Nutcracker performances. Obviously TWSB is the biggest with the largest # of shows.

I'd say most sizable schools do a Nutcracker or try to get their students as supers for whatever company is putting on The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center.
