I'd say most sizable schools do a Nutcracker or try to get their students as supers for whatever company is putting on The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center.

Oh wow, I just looked up what a super is and that seems like a cool opportunity!

How do you find out how to audition for the Kennedy center performance?

Does anyone know the rough breakdown of TWSB roles by level?

PB3) Mushroom, Bumblebee
1A ) Snow Angel, Party Girl, Cherry Blossoms
1B ) Snow Angel, Party Girl, Cherry Blossoms, Mouse
2 ) Party Girl, Mouse, Solider, Doll
3 ) Party Girl, Clown, Solider, Doll
4A/B ) Little Butterflies, Clown, Equestrians, Bunnies
5 & up ) No clue. We'll find out this year.

Party Girl is the choice role for the younger group and you'll hear a lot of chatter about it on this forum. It's all speculation, but seems to go to favored students and small girls that pick up on choreography quickly. It was a role my daughter always wanted but never got, but many of her friends had the role for 2 or 3 years in a row.

Can PB3 only be a mushroom or a bee?

Yes, but they're the perfect role to get their feet wet before moving onto more significant roles.

My 4A wants to be a frontier girl SO BADLY! More than she wanted party girl, or clown or ANYTHING!
Alas she says its usually tall 4As (if is going to be a 4A and she is short)

We are PB3, but DD came bouncing out of the audition this evening and reports that it was “so much fun!” So we’ll see what happens. Good luck, all!

DD is 4A and said it was so crowded and they didn't get to finish auditioning for all of the parts.
And now the waiting begins!

Does anyone know if the roles might be announced early? I know they said "By Wednesday at 11pm" but does that mean Tuesday or Monday is a possibility?

DD Level 3 said some kids were pulled aside at the end and told what they were going to be. Anyone else hear that?

This happened to your DD? Didn't hear this from mine and seems like something she would have mentioned
