Does anyone know about how many PB3 students are cast? Is that a hard age to be offered a role?
Plenty! It's been a long time since my child was PB3, is it a big group this year?
Not the PP, but also have a PB3 DD and was wondering the same because it looked like there was a big group of kids at the audition. I’ve no idea how the group size compares to prior years, but it seemed like a lot of dancers to me. My DD said there were a lot of people in the room. Are PB3 dancers ever cast outside of the mushroom and bee roles? Seems like the odds of being cast are lower for their level if they are only eligible for those two?
I know numbers were smaller in the cast last year with COVID, but previously there were like 6 (maybe 8?) bees in each show - times 6 casts - that's 36 bees (48 if it was 8) And the same for mushrooms. So anywhere from 72 to 96 spots. Do you think it was a bigger group that that?
Maybe not. So hard to tell really with the way the drop off/pick up was structured and I didn’t stick around outside to eyeball it super closely. I’m mostly basing my observation on the large number of adults outside the building when we walked up to check-in and remember thinking oh wow this is a lot more people than I imagined would be here.
