She was rude and mean not to tell you and give you a chance to get up there and retrieve all your things. If she was getting rid of the storage unit, she should’ve told you so you could take your stuff and then sort through it as you saw fit. Unfortunately, you are out of luck though.

It's not difficult to store coins. They take zero space. You should have held on to them.

What we have here is an irresponsible "adult" who was not adulting. You have no things, they were your mom's things and she did what she wanted with her things.
