What clothes look awful on men?

Anonymous
I’ve made enough money and I’m old enough to not give a damn what others think.

I think most of the items mentioned in this thread are really dependent on the physique of the wearer, fit of the clothes, and the context. In today's relaxed fashion environment, there are very few hard and fast rules for men. Consequently, if a man wear colors that complements his skin tone, clothes that fit his body, and he has a decent physique he can look good (or certainly avoid looking awful) in most things.

American suits are just way too baggy to be elegant. Looks like teenager outfits or suits from the 80s to me. Been fighting DH for years so that he wears more tailored clothes (and as a thin 6ft4” he would wear skinny suits so well)

Skinny suits in US make you look..... “feminine”....

^^very metrosexual.

What next? Will our men go the way of European men and wear speedos?

I never did understand why this is a problem. I wear white socks. Otherwise it irritates my feet. To me socks are underwear--I wear white underwear, don't most men?

Ever been to a gay country club or gay pool party? If I see a guy in a speedo that’s under age 70 I just assume they’re gay and even then I wonder. No judgment just facts.

DH wears the European cut style swim shorts. Basically boxer brief look. He has the body to pull it off though.

This is weird/bad why?

+1. Don't understand these either.

If you are going to wear a button down with a T-shirt and not wear a tie, you shouldn’t wear a crew neck t that will show at the neck line.

Khakis look terrible on most people over 10.

Because a man’s sartorial choices are frequently a point of contention in a relationship. Also, because there are probably fewer men that would see/interact on Beauty forum.

🤣🤣🤣

I violate virtually none of these: but WTF are men's "open toe[d]" shoes?
