Okay ladies of DCUM, let us have it. Consider this a PSA for all the male readers here. What clothing styles/outfits should men absolutely stop wearing ASAP. Please be specific.

Dresses or anything historically feminine

too many accessories
flashy accessories

Speedos unless you’re a competitive swimmer

Tevas or other sandals
Dirty baseball hats

Cargo shorts
Flip flops unless you are at the beach
A short-sleeved button down with a tie (a la Dwight Schrute)
A polo shirt worn under a sport jacket (unless you are playing golf the the sport jacket is green)

Sandals
Leggings under shorts
Leggings period
Necklaces, especially anything leather or with shells
Phone clipped to belt

Have your pants hemmed so they break properly over your shoes.

I don’t know what can be done about sleeves that are too long when you have a large neck and girth- but it’s bad.

Don’t wear a button down collar with a suit.

Dress shoes should be polished and a current style.

If you are on the heavy side, avoid loafers- even if you’re not, oxfords are better.

Navy is always better than brown.

Plaid, Madras or Seersucker for short sleeve shirts- no solids. A t shirt ( only wear graphic tees if you have seen the band, drank at the bar, etc.)is usually better than a Hawaiian shirt, if Hawaiian, choose a reverse print Reyn Spooner pullover style.

I was going to post that I think skinny pants look silly on men. However, after viewing PP’s photos posted above, I guess skinny pants aren’t that bad after all.
