Do most people come home, cook dinner then shower or reverse come home, shower, cook dinner?

Shower before bed, then a shower in the am.
Can’t sleep without a shower first and couldn’t function without one in the morning.

We eat dinner early so this would not work for us. We often go for a walk or play outside after dinner, so I would not want to be in my pjs and a robe then.

But I have young kids. We eat at 5:45/6 and then they are in bed around 8. I shower in the morning normally, but if it's very hot outside (or I put on sunscreen or bug spray) I may do a quick rinse before bed.

I cook, then shower right before bed.

I know quite a few adults who shower at right right before bed, especially in the summer or if they are outside a lot (either b/c of sweat or pollen, etc). And some people don't have time to shower in the morning.

I get the shower at night if its super hot and/or pollen. But I don't get how showering at night can replace morning showers. Yuck.

I don’t sweat at night. How are you getting dirty while sleeping?

+1 This is so weird. Who showers at night, goes to bed and wakes up dirty? That's disgusting. If you are sweating so much at night, then make your bedroom cooler/buy better bed linens/get fans, etc. I do not sweat at night nor do I get dirty while I sleep, especially after a nightly shower.

Just wait, sweetheart. Your time will come.

Two showers in a day is wasteful and bad planning.

Who wants to climb into a clean bed with a dirty body?

Come home, shower then fix diner, eat and then go to sleep.

At night you shed dead skin cells, secrete oils, and most people do sweat some at night. I don’t think there is one right answer but I’m team morning shower all the way.

DH and I shower in the morning and in the evening. Kids shower once they are back from school.

We don't cook dinner in the evening. I cook breakfast, lunch and dinner first thing in the morning before going to work. DH gets the kids ready and drives them to school on his way to work. I finish housework, shower and go for work.

DH picks up the kids from school, kids shower after coming back from school. DH will warm up dinner etc, DH and I shower once we are back from work and change into clothes that double as leisure clothes as well as sleep-clothes (t-shirt, sweats, shorts etc).

Yes, in peri menopause now and night sweats are no joke. Also, do you people never have sex at night? I definitely want to shower in the morning after that.

I work from home, but have kids who need to get ready in the morning + have after school activities …

Shower at night person here. Morning is a rush to get myself dressed and kids to bus stop in time to log on for work. Then we have sports a lot of nights. Come home for dinner, so bedtime routine, then DH and I take our showers while the other cleans up the kitchen, folds laundry, etc.

Sometimes though if I work out at lunchtime I will shower mid-day instead of at night.

We got a bidet and it’s great for post-sex cleanup.

There is nothing wrong with showering in the morning, and taking 3-5 minutes to rinse off before bed if you feel sweaty.

Why? I don’t work. I shower before bed.
