While Pete/Kate/Aidy Bryant are all stars in their own right, I have to admit I really like Kyle Mooney as well. I think he is hilarious especially when he portrays the underdog or outcast in sketches.
I was very sad and disappointed that SNL never gave him an on the air send-off that the others received. Sure Pete has become a huge deal since he started out. And Kate has garnered a huge fan base from the show while Aidy has been doing side projects on different programs. Aidy and Pete already have shows that they are set to star in. And Kate will find work, that seems an absolute given due to her huge comedic talent. But what about Mooney? Because of his non traditional looks and height, I do not see his future as bright. Which is a disappointment to me as a fan because I find his comedic talent very good! |
Pete Davidson is a huge Harry Potter fanatic, he even has a tattoo or two. So those who have been watching the show for many years will get that the sock joke was referring to Pete’s adoration to Harry Pothead. |
And she likely is the OP of this post as well as all the other ones with using anything Pete Davidson in the title. |
Thought this was a debunked myth? |
He has Crohn's disease. A lot of his looks--dark shadows under his eyes and being underweight come from Crohn's disease. Crohn's is truly a rough disease to live with day to day. |
He’s gross. Kim f$*ks that?! |
DP. I think Pete Stan has caught on that the emojis always identify them, and has stopped using them much. But yes, there is a definite style to the posts even when Pete Stan tries to make them sound different. I think I spy Stan on this thread already. Nothing wrong with being a devoted fan, actually, it's just that now some of us on the entertainment forum easily spot these posts thanks to their soaring praise of his talent beyond all other talents. |
You obviously have no idea how SNL works. Just because he wasn't on-screen in many live skits, it doesn't mean he added nothing. He did lots of writing and digital skits. |
+1 |
Only by Pete himself from his Netflix special a few years back. In other news, I am still missing Beck Beckett and Leslie Jones. I have not seen them in much after they departed the show. |
This. Kate McKinnon is just a hair below the top tier of greatest SNL cast members of all time. |
Actually I think she (and Kristin Wiig, whom I still miss seeing on the show) are IN the top tier of all time. Both able to melt away into their characters. Huge versatility and range of characters, too. We really need a sketch comedy show that isn't SNL. I know there have been some on streaming services I haven't got, probably, or online somewhere, but...SNL is such a behemoth it gets to define sketch comedy for a lot of people, when we need some competition for it. I have seen a little of "Portlandia" with SNL alum Fred Armisen and liked what I saw because it had its own tone and voice. Key and Peele was great but is long gone, unfortunately. Would LOVE to see Kristin Wiig and Kate McKinnon creating new characters on a sharp sketch show. |
There’s no reason to keep watching. |
My Aunt has Crohn's and she manages it with medication and a proper diet. Not to say that it's not a rough disease. Crohn's can cause anemia which is the cause of the dark circles under the eyes. Anemia is treatable, of course, we don't really know the details of his medical diagnosis. |
People say the same thing every few years. They said the same thing when Kate McKinnon was a baby player on SNL. I think there comes a time when a person just has to realize that they’re old relative to the show and it’s not for you anymore. I’m halfway there, there’s no shame in it. I still like Melissa Villasenor, Heidi Gardner, Chris Redd, Ego Nwodim and Chloe Fineman (I don’t think any of them are leaving). Sarah Sherman makes me queasy, like bodies in her basement type creep-dar. I used to hate Pete Davidson but I do enjoy the Chad skits. Overall he’s really grown on me. |
