This. She goes thru a bottle shampoo, tube/jar/bottle each of cleanser, moisturizer, toner, mousse and very yhing else in two week? Somethings off OP.

What everybody’s forgetting is, she’s not using all the product that he purchase every two weeks or whatever. She is a hoarder.

What did you find out, OP?

What does she even need this stuff if she just sits around in your apartment 24/7 doing nothing?

Pls drive her to her parents house with a weekend bag and tell them to get her professional mental help.

Even if she was OCD and overusing she isn't overusing TAMPONS every two weeks. No one is shoving a dry tampon up there and pulling it out just for the heck of it. And I don't even know how you could go through a pack of q-tips that soon unless you were making elaborate q-tip art. Her body would look like a seal if she was slathering on that much lotion every day, this just is not a list or timeline that makes any practical sense.

This is the post of someone who wants to complain about how much women spend on 'hygiene' but who has no actual insight into what they buy or how often they buy it.

Really she's buying MOUSSE every two weeks? This isn't 1989 dude.

Op here,

So my girlfriend is basically poor as a mouse. I pay for everything except her smokes and personal bills. I was just curious if it’s normal for a woman to spend so much money. She’s said her skin is sensitive and she doesn’t always finish all the products and toss it or donate to her family. I am definitely checking the door cameras when I get home. Because now, I am suspicious as shit!

she has a problem, she is making you buy and then tossing the products? She has an addiction problem attached to consuming these products.

1 -- if she is poor and you are not married, she many be able to qualify of SNAP, as someone mentioned
2 -- don't enable her OCD. Stop purchasing anything that is not essential.
3 -- get a COSTCO membership. You will be able to purchase some of the things literally once a year.

smoking and weed are the deal breakers.

170 a month (86 every 2 weeks) on these sort of "basic" products is a lot. Too much in fact.

If she is buying skin care products and all that stuff where a small tube costs 40 or 50 then I can see an average monthly budget over 100... but I would expect some months the cost to be 20 or 30 but other months the cost to be 250 when she buys all the creams and cleansers...

the best skin care she can do is to stop smoking...

OP here,

I watch the home camera and I keep seeing random people coming up front and picking up things on the porch. Went through her phone and found a app for buy nothing. It's a local neighborhood advertising things for free. She has at least forty ads giving things away and also getting things for herself. My girlfriend never mentioned about her little habit, and I am just weird about random people know where we live. She doesn't know I know her little secret yet.

I wait until I have a 30% off coupon from CVS to buy my list. It's expensive to be female, and your list doesn't even have makeup on it! Or cover hair/nail salon visits.

You girlfriend is getting you to buy basic toiletries to give away on the buy nothing site and you are...thinking this is nefarious? As scams go this is about as small time as it gets giving out free q-tips. I honestly do think you are a troll, but a very strange one.

She's sending that back home to the Philippines.

You sound like a complete psycho. Please break up with her for her benefit. Plenty of people use buy nothing groups.

My girlfriend texted me a list of things to buy before coming home: Feminine wash, spray, tampons, baby wipe, qtip, body wash, lotion, detergent, shampoo, and hair mousse. $86 and change. I just checked my bank statement and I noticed that Twice a month, I get the list from my girlfriend for the same products. Is this normal for a woman to spend on personal hygiene? Please educate me before I break up with her. Plus she smoked cigarettes, weed, and drink. She pays for her bad habits
Would you be okay with GF with down there smell, bathroom time 4 days of her period/month, itchy bum, ear-picking, unsoaped, ashy/flaky skin (is she diabetic?), stinky sweaty clothes, greasy hair, and flat bed head? What is your grooming list OP? For me, I am okay with natural men and back hair etc doesn't bother me. I would dump a guy for wearing too strong a cologne/aftershave/deodorant. Groceries in general are going up as are gas prices. Try digital coupons if she buys P&G products.

I use 1 box of tampons a month
Shampoo lasts me about 3 months
Q tips a box of 500 lasts me a year
Body wash lasts me about 3 months

Seems excessive to need this stuff twice a month
