DCUM loved Bridgerton Season 1. Honestly I haven't seen anyone impressed with Season 2. Bridgerton season 2 review: So different they might as well have renamed the entire show https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/reviews/bridgerton-season-2-review-netflix-b2044351.html |
| Started watching Season 2, episode 1 tonite. I actually fell asleep toward the end. It is a complete snooze fest! I knew Kate Sharma wasn’t going to work. I don’t see the chemistry at all. |
It would mean having to live at the Prussian court with rare visits to/from her family and friends though. Much more freedom as an English duchess. |
| I’m Indian and I’m sad the Indian character hasn’t taken off! (Haven’t watched it yet myself). We need more Asian/South Asian actors on TV… |
| This book and Hyacinth’s were by far my favorites. Only half way through and I don’t like it. The Pall Mall game is one of the best parts and they took all of the fun out of it. |
| I like this season so far because the main characters are more interesting, with something resembling back stories. The main woman is strong, and her younger sister is surprisingly better written than I expected. I did not like the main woman last season. |
The female lead is gorgeous, but she’s only playing the character in a very stick up her ass, one dimensional way. There’s zero chemistry because she’s been irate and aggressive since episode 1. Without sexual tension or romance, this show is boring. I’m shocked that they didn’t proactively build lust and romance into the show starting with the first episodes. Big mistake. |
| Haven’t watched yet, but where does season 2 leave Colin and Penelope? I know they are book 4, but keep hoping they might be the main storyline for next season. |
No the hard truth is that this season was actually boring. Deal with it. |
I'm not impressed with Season 2. I'm disappointed. |
| I read the book and didn't like it particularly the contrivance they used to force the characters to marry, so thank goodness they changed that. It was really weird. For me, the show, particularly this season, is significantly better than the book. |
I disagree…I think there’s more chemistry than last season. Again, I had a hard time last season with the fact that the main actress looked like a child. |
| Season 2 is juvenile. I feel like I am watching a mills and boons book (remember those romance novels a lifetime ago?) |
The young Sharma looks like a child. And the lead guy looks very old compared to her. He looks much older than Rege Jean. |
I much prefer the season 2 protagonists. The female lead is gorgeous and thankfully not childish, and the male lead is a better actor. |
