Bridgerton, Season 2

That's not how the series works. It's based on a set of novels that are each about a different sibling. I am hearing a TON of buzz!

It could have worked like that. They tried to re-hire the original male lead and he said no - wasn't enough money or screen time. Shonda could have done whatever she wanted with Season 2.

+1 Anthony's book is best, then Colin's, then Eloise's. But Colin's wouldn't have ranked as high without the other books for character building.

Ooh I hate Colin.

Eloise is my favorite

I'm excited for it! I'm a romance reader who didn't love these books, so it will be interesting to see where they go with major plot departures. In the season 2 trailer the actor who plays Anthony looks different to me -- maybe he lost weight or changed his hair? -- to the point that I thought they'd changed actors.

Eloise would be my buddy in real life but her arc (and Benedict's) are the hardest to watch. They are so young and aimless. Penelope knows what she wants.

I just need the casting people to do better. The male lead was so grown and hot and the female lead looked like a 12-year-old child. I am looking forward to another season but I need better chemistry between the actors. And for it to actually look like two adults (if that's what it's supposed to be).

+1. Agreed. Hoping that after this season they will do Colin and Penelope because that was right up there too. Wasn’t a fan of Benedict’s, so hope his gets pushed back.

Hyacinth was my favorite character.

Not really. It’s based on books. Daphne was in her first season so around 16-17.

Didn’t Benedict attend some weird sex orgy party at the artist’ house? Turned out the artist has a secret gay lover. At first I thought they were going to make Benedict gay. But then he hooked up with the seamstress. Weird plot twist.

Each season revolves around one of the siblings. Sadly, Rege Jean Page will not be on this season.

I'm glad. He may be hot, but he's a terrible actor.

also wanted to say.. I read a lot of regency romance books, and his acting just didn't fit the heros in the romance novels that I read.

The guy who played Alfie in Emily in Paris would have been better for the part. Similar look to Rege Jean Page but actually has swagger.

I liked Benedict. So hot. Anthony is too.

I hope we get to Eloise's season because both she and Phillip are such clueless people about relationships. Benedict's is a real clunker - and I absolutely hate the power dynamic with Sophie being a servant for much of the book.

I love Anthony and cannot wait!

I really think you are not the target audience for this show.

Actually, her character was 21.

the guys look different because they all tamed down their wicked sideburns from Season 1. I loved them.
