Well I have a white friend who married an African American and raise their children in the African American culture (Kwanzaa, etc). That happens all the time with different races. It's called an interracial relationship.

Is she trying to pass for black? Did she convert to black?

Stop being pedantic. No one is denying that Judaism is also a religion. But you can’t convert your ethnicity to Jewish - only your religion

The Nazis didn't just kill actively practicing religious Jewish people. They also killed people who had Jewish grandparents, even if they ir their parents had converted. And again, the Nazis didn't attempt to.wipe out the Jewish religion, converting or moving away from Judaism didn't save people. It was an extermination of people.

It definitely was teated like a race then. The propaganda again didn't treat the religion as althe issue, it attacked the Jewish people as less than human.

So saying the Nazis weren't about race ignores their focus in blood purity and rhe way people were exterminated for ancestry.

Don't get me wrong I'm also sure the Nazis would have killed anyone who converted as well, but their extermination campaign was focused on blood and a people.

Can someone help me understand? One of my friends who has a Jewish background says that Jewish is not a race or ethnicity it's a religion. I told her I thought it was different, but I am not so I'll go with whatever she says. Why do some people say this? I don't understand.
