Not sure if Cornell is declining but it's definitely NOT HOT. The others (including Emory) are, especially Brown. Genz wants big city with collaborative atmospheres, Cornell is the complete opposite. |
Wow, lies upon lies. The exact article you linked to itself states that Cornell had 2,000+ more apps that year than the previous year. Last year was also Cornell's most selective year, as its acceptance rate dropped down to 8.7%. Why do you keep lying? |
??? Cornell is extremely hot among the private school my kid goes to, and the Northeast privates my relatives' kids attend. One look at online forums that kids actually frequent also confirms that Cornell continues to be "hot." |
Brown doesn't seem to place better than Mendoza for finance? https://www.peakframeworks.com/post/ib-target-schools |
This list says Brown is a bit better for finance per Capita, however all 4 of those schools are ranked fairly close 14-21. https://www.collegetransitions.com/dataverse/top-feeders-banking |
| I know UPenn and Cornell are hot at McLean High this year, lot of kids applied. |
Cornell hides it's numbers for a reason, it's not Stanford. |
DP must think going test blind isn't aggressive. How are Emory and Dame being overly aggressive in the admissions game when they don't do anything different from other schools? |
NP. Actually, there's some truth there, plus a 70% acceptance rate. |
If Cornell is hiding its numbers, how come we’re able to see them in the articles both linked to above? I have no affiliation with Cornell but I think it’s really weird that people are trying to deny its popularity. It’s very in, especially among STEM students. |
Emory at least definitely pumps up its numbers through aggressive marketing. |
WHAT?!?! What aggressive marketing? Emory doesn't even send mail. |
Acceptance rate in 2020 = 71.7% Look like it's not easy to get rejected |
Wasn’t Emory caught falsifying its admissions data a while back? |
