Columbia, MIT at the highest end. Also: Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, and, perhaps counterintuitively, Cornell. And among state schools, U Florida.

Haven’t seen the data for Alabama this year, but this approach is definitely working for Auburn. They have had a 155% increase in applications over the last two years.

It is not so much that these institutions are "on the rise" - moreso that people who previously did not know of them are finding out about them, OP.
