How many kids from deferred actually get in RD? I am thinking the applicant pool is so high that chances are almost zero!

Asian males are getting screwed left right and center

Asian males with excellent stats are at a disadvantage. Almost all cases we are hearing about are Asian/ South Asian males!

This may be of interest
https://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/most-of-you-will-be-deferred/

There is a link to stats from last year. She had higher chances as she is female (1/3 of applicants, 50% of admitted students).

My DS was also deferred. He is international thus competing for 120-150 spots at MIT. The same stats got him in top 20 worldwide where admissions are based on merit with clear rules that are actually applied. I find really interesting to face affirmative action - no judgement here, just genuine curiosity about how this will play out at the end.

What extra materials can she provide since she is deferred to boost any chances of getting in?

Any sports or music?

Does MIT look for ECA's such as sports or music?

yes - and MIT practices holistic admissions.

The history here - MIT had a ton of suicide issues. They don't like students that aren't well rounded. A bunch of my friends and I pulled our E3 admissions cards from MIT to see what they said. All of us were academically accomplished. What did the cards highlight?

I won local contests in a pagent and classic car show.
My one friend was a cheerleader and that was highlighted on her card
Another friend was a gymnast
Another was an accomplished musician

None of the cards mentioned our academics. Academics got us to the table.

Well it’s a shame that Chinese males are getting passed over. They are hard working well rounded and excellent prospective students

You don't know sh*t about elite college admissions. They don't look for the so-called "well-rounded", but mediocre bigots like you. They favor people with "spikes", other things being equal. And no, there is ZERO chance MIT gonna highlight cheerleader for the admission decision because it's a dime a dozen.

Why would it even be a question? It's MIT by a mile.

A cheerleader with a perfect GPA and SAT taking all APs is not “a dime a dozen” and this is why people like that get into top schools

Asian males are getting screwed left right and center

Because their politically idiotic parents keep voting democrats whose core policy is to discriminate Asian males. Their voice won't be heard this way.

Well, the GOP's core policy is to discriminate against everyone who isn't white, so it's kind of like a no-win situation.

Because they're going to turn out to be tech worker bees. MIT, Harvard, etc wants to produce leaders. That is at least 50% soft skills.
