I am glad Argentina is getting out tariff money even during shutdown

Priorities, am I right? I have yet to see MAGA justify this or the golden ballroom. Looks very Marie Antoinette.

Let them eat cake.

Why would it be? There's no reason that anything will be different for the vote on Friday than the vote on Tuesday.

I'd imagine we will be shut down for at least two weeks.

Is this an over and under game....I'm going with at least three weeks. After all there are files to distract from.

So this was all to push Project 2025 further along?

Yeah dummy wrote about this on truth social last night....I'm confused though because MAGA was told and believed that P2025 was all made up-dummy said he didn't even know what P2025 was.....hmmm

The Dems will look like clueless impotent imbeciles from the sidelines.

OOH, mommy look what they made me do! Really PP, can't you come up with something better than this toddler BS.

News is reporting Trump is meeting with Vought to go over Project 2025 priorities and to eliminate "Democrat Agencies" - and we got condescending chiding, mocking and gaslighting and told we were hyperbolic when correctly said this would happen.

On another note, it shows how extreme and far right things have gotten, to refer to agencies established via bipartisan legislation as "Democrat agencies."

Shutdown makes advancing Project 2025 10x easier.

They’ve convinced the morons that clean water and safe food and access to healthcare are liberal ideas, and that it’s BAD to want those things. This is the dumbest country on the face of the Earth, bar none.

+1
If they’re aiming to deport millions of them and tighten up the border, shouldn’t that then mean that funding healthcare for illegal immigrants is a moot point? If the numbers are going down, and we’re succeeding at keeping them out, then there’s no one to pay for, right?

So what are the Republicans talking about? Paying for people who aren’t even here?

Everything about GOP "policies" is half baked, inconsistent, or broken in some way or another. Everything.

So does this means that the billions going into border protection and hiring officers is one big waste of taxpayer funds if we still have to worry about paying the ER bills for illegal immigrants? If the deadlock is over that, then the Administration failed at curbing illegal immigration.

That isn't what the deadlock is over. Sad that is what you have been led to believe.

Um, that’s what Vance claims.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/vance-brings-receipts-target-dems-170116105.html

Never said I believe it. Why are Republicans worried about providing healthcare to people they’re deporting? If deportations are working then I guess, according to Vance, Democrats want to provide healthcare to the deported? Or will there be hundreds of thousands of illegals still to be rounded up this time next year? I’m confused. I thought the Administration had this under control, and there will be nary an illegal immigrant left.

Vance says Democrats want to “turn funding back on” for illegal immigrants. But how can you fund someone after they are deported? Based on the number of people DHS is hiring and increased border security, most illegals should be outta here by next year. I’m expecting a record number of deportations and a non-porous border with all the money we’re spending fortifying it.

So is Vance worried about the couple hundred left that still haven’t been found going to the ER on the taxpayer dime?

The Democrats look like idiots for not stopping Trump and Vought from doing incredibly idiotic and destructive things?

Uhh, no. Republicans look like even bigger idiots. Nobody over the age of 7 with a brain buys the GOP's "you made us do it!" line.

What makes you think Republicans have a mental age above 7?

Trump and Voight have already been illegally shutting down the government and refusing to spend appropriated money on legally mandated programs. Why should Democrats give those traitors another nickel to embezzle?

Congress should fund government only after the executive branch starts following Congress's laws

Trump is using it as an opportunity to do mass layoffs and permanently close whole parts of the federal bureaucracy.

Right. But at what point will Trump actually try to govern the country. Also, when's he going to release those Epstein files?
