This teacher teaches at my daughter’s school. What would you do?

She sounds like a twit. If she were teaching my kid I'd be worried about more than just the gun in her car. Since she's not taking it into the school, not sure I'd do much yet--except maybe ensure that everyone knows she's carrying and hope that most people are against it. Maybe if enough of a fuss is made, something will be done.
|
| She needs to be publicly shamed |
OP here. I’ve already notified the principal about it, and they were aware, and tell me that they would let me know about the outcome. However how do we really know that she’s not caring into the classroom. There are no metal detectors, or any checkpoints that I’ve seen |
|
She's a nut job and I would call the principal to complain.
These people who are terrified of life in this UMC community are utterly nuts. This isn't Syria, ffs. Statistically speaking, she will never see another person in the school with a gun. Calm down. |
| This would bother me. |
Check with your school district: "Virginia laws allow guns to be kept in cars on school grounds. However, some school districts do not allow it." |
| Where does she teach? |
| That very teacher could save lives some day. Don’t be ridiculous. |
|
I'd start a calling/letter writing campaign to the BoE, Principal, etc.
What is the school policy, regardless of law? It needs to be changed NOW. Time for the PTA to get up in arms, too. (No pun intended). She's clearly a total moron. |

Sierra Collins. Also a Girls on the Run coach.
She teaches at a Fairfax County Elementary school. https://www.facebook.com/nbcwashington/posts/10156387130943606 |
| What school? She wears a knife under her clothes? Obviously a nut job. |
| Her moronic gun poses should not be allowed. Embarrassing! |
Sierra Looks like she be swinging on a pole suggestively posing with the shot gun. She shouldn't be working with children. |
No. Much more likely to shoot a kid by mistake. |
