Yes, of course. I hope people judge fairly. |
Relieved? To know someone like this was around my kids? Inarticulate, gun-toting, redneck? Sure. |
| Parents - you need to speak up about this. I personally would consider organizing an effort to keep Grade 4-6 kids at home if I were at this school until she is removed or disciplined or shamed out of her position. |
| You people are so obsessed with your hatred of guns that you have lost your minds! So what if she has a gun secured in her vehicle? I used to live in an area where virtually every household had several firearms, and people weren't going around blasting each other. Maybe you should worry about your kid getting killed in a car accident, which is much more likely to happen. And why is anyone surprised that a teacher is doing this? accident |
It's not about that. It's about her lack of judgement and demeanor combined with her clear joy while petting her assault rifles. I think most parents worry about that stuff too, but by all means, feel free to laugh at us and send your kids to a sleepover at Ms. Nutso's house tonight. |
It makes me question her judgment. What is she going to do with it? A secured gun isn't a danger because you can't get to it -- which is why it's also useless for her idea of defending her students. She could get to an unsecured gun, which is exactly what would make it an immediate danger to her students. I know also know lots of people who have guns. Most of them don't tote the guns around with them in case they need the guns to shoot somebody. They have the guns for hunting and for target shooting at the shooting range. |
That's not a secured gun. |
Her fear is in the wrong place. If she's not brave enough to go to school unarmed, get another job. |
According to the law? |
|
The knife around her neck is concerning to me.
Also, how dumb to admit you have a gun in your car. I can see 5hat getting broken into now. |
How exactly do you imagine your child will be protected if your school gets a visit from another crazed Cruz? Just wondering. |
Not by a wack a doodle vigilante teacher. You have no clue what the stress is like to be under fire. What makes you think she would do anything ? Or The right thing? What if she shot nearby kids by mistake? What if responding law enforcement killed her because they thought she was the active shooter? Odds are more likely that she’d cause harm by having a gun at schoo, than an actual mass shooter showing up at her school. |
|
That's crazy scary. I would not want my kid in her class, and preferably not in her school. I'd complain to the principal and the school board, and hope she gets fired. And I suspect that's exactly what she's going for - she's probably hoping to get fired so she can sue for exercising what she perceives to be her Second Amendment rights, and so it can be a test case for the NRA.
These gun nuts scare the crap out of me. |
You keep making this comparison. You should stop. "Why worry about guns? Cars are also dangerous!" PS - Guns kill 36 people in America every day. It's worth worrying about. |
Or opioids. FORTY dead Americans EVERY day! |
