In the flash forward to Rebecca’s death bed, the camera focused on Nicky’s wedding band and then Kevin’s wedding band. I assume Kevin is married to Madison (but maybe not bc he said his great love will be his “child”). Who is Nicky married to? The marine girl - Cassidy?! Ew!

I feel like they put Sophie and Cassidy into scenes for a reason.

Oh wait! Was that Nicky next to Rebecca's bed? I assumed it was Miguel!

It’s Nicky.

I thought it was funny that they put all three (Madison, Sophie, and Cassidy) of the actresses’ guest star credits at the end of the show instead of in the traditional beginning. I realized that if they had put one of the names in the opening, we would have thought it was being given away, but if they had put all 3 in the opening, it still would have been just as suspenseful as to who was Kevin’s baby mama!

This. You're absolutely wrong. It was Nicky.

You are bothered by this but not the 12 different shades they've had Randall growing up.

Ha ha! I'm the PP - you are so right. I feel like Kate and Beth are the only young to mature characters they've gotten right. Young Kevin is spot on but teenage Kevin, not so much. I don't think any version of the Randalls, whatever the shade, is a good match for adult Randall. But young Randall and teen Randall have more facial features in common - teen Randall to adult Randall - like, what happened to his chin and nose?

Madison did think she could get pregnant because of her medical hx of bulimia. That plus carrying twins - maybe she died, and then Kevin went on to have his great love story.

In the few months ahead flash forward Kevin was with his pregnant fiance, which as this point we are to presume is Madison. Any chance Cassidy is knocked up too? Could there be a 3rd kid in the 10 year ahead timeline? Raising kids as triplets with 2 being bio sibs and one not?

Do you think Toby and Kate get to adopt a white baby girl just like that? Besides the fact that it is not that easy, there's Kate's weight and Jack's blindness, wouldn't those factors work against the odds of adoption?

Seems like Randall has a major thing about being an adopted black child in a white family, like having to prove they made a good investment, but there's a cost in terms of his relationship with Randall (maybe early on it's just that he's bright, but eventually he sees there's something to be gained by that). But what an asshole for not having owned up to what he did before Rebecca announces. Hard to believe the brothers could ever heal a rupture like that argument. Wonder why we never saw Rebecca and Miguel discuss the trial. Maybe he's actually ok with it, gets to have Rebecca more to himself during that time rather than being the fifth wheel?

Odd Rebecca talking about Kate's first tooth (eating), Randall's first words (intellect), and Kevin's first steps(athletic). I mean, not intentional but . . .

It happened to me - old and single.

As someone who is 50, and knows a lot of 50-ish people, they really over-aged everyone to make the point that it's in the future.

Yes, this was way off and bothered me.

That's an interesting theory, could be. My theory is that Madison ends up with her OB--otherwise it's strange they showed him and some of his backstory. I think Kevin ultimately ends up with Sophie, the love of his life and the only one he really has chemistry with.

My other theory: poor overlooked Miguel drops dead prematurely, Rebecca forms a bond with Nicky over time and ultimately marries him. I can't think of any other explanation for the close shot of Nicky's wedding ring.

It was Nicky and they lingered on his wedding ring.

This is a good one about the new doctor.

He will be an important character. There's a reason he was introduced on an episode where we saw the old doctor again. And he is in present day with his redheaded daughter and horse.

This would be an awful story line. Rebecca marries first her dead husband's best friend and then her dead husband's brother? Yuck - would make me like her less - but I guess would show that she never was able to move on and is just trying to maintain a connection with Jack.

Did anyone else assume that Kate and Toby don't live long enough to see their grand daughter born? They were conspicuously absent from Hope's birth.
