This Is Us, Season 4

While I am stuck in the house, maybe I should re-watch the ENTIRE season.

I think the boy called him dad but the girl never did. Everything else about the scene indicates that it is much further into the future. Maybe he had more kids later and/or Madison had a miscarriage.

The kids look like they’re around the same age.

Yeah, I realize that. We were definitely led to believe that they are Kevin and Madison’s twins. Just wondering if that’s the only reason we think the scene is 10ish years into the future. Everyone looks much older. And Madison’s pregnancy doesn’t add up with the timeline of Kevin at Thanksgiving saying his fiance has morning sickness. I realize that morning sickness can last entire pregnancy, but still.

I think they sort of addressed that in the episode IIRC. The police officer he was talking to said something like "I was sick through my whole pregnancy."

I too have wondered about the morning sickness line, but that scene isn’t on Thanksgiving. It’s a few months earlier - August 31, 2020, the Big 3’s 40th birthday, in This is Us time.

In the original flash forward it was established that the 10 year old bot was Kevin’s kid when Randall asked him where his Dad was and he said “getting food.” We then see Kevin coming to the house with bags of food in the episode where it’s revealed it’s the house from Jack’s sketch. At least the boy is Kevin’s kid, for sure.

I loved the scene of Sophie laughing when she saw Kevin’s ridiculous billboard. I still think somehow she and Kevin will wind up together. There’s a reason she was shown on this episode.

Notice how they kept making a point of saying that he barely knows her and that she is basically a stranger to him? I thought that was odd since they have spent a lot of time together through Kate. I’m thinking that leaves it open for them to have more chemistry as they get to know each other.

I think it's clear in every interaction they've had that neither is interested in the other. Yes, they hooked up, but that was a total one-off. It'll be interesting to see who Kevin actually winds up with.
