If there were ineligible kids it’s not the coaches fault. It’s the athletic directors job to determine which students are eligible to play and the schools registers job to determine who can enroll. The only way Overton is in the wrong, is if he has been caught recruiting.

Or, if he helped the parents cheat and lie about their residence.

The old Dir of student services will be VERY happy she left if this does end up that kids registered that shouldn’t have so she wasn’t part of it. What a horrible way to spend extra hours- having to deal with investigations and extra work.

Coach has said publicly that he was investigated 17 times at Freedom, but never a negative outcome. Tells me he either really has been doing nothing wrong and was being targeted or is smart enough to have deniability and not do anything himself.

She needs to resign or be fired. Totally mishandled the situation from day one.

WHY would anyone hire a coach who had been investigated 17(!!!) times already? Thats just a problem child and a headache.

Wasn't she transferred abruptly under suspicious circumstances to another HS? She was probably trying to do her job correctly.

And Michelle Reid did nothing to intervene.

Because the coach was the principal's friend. Everyone involved should be fired.
