Husbands: do you secretly compare your wife to other wives?

Not attempting to be snarky, seeing the other thread made me genuinely curious about this.

No.

We've figured out what works for us. Due to business with our children, our jobs, various activities, church, gym, travel, etc. I have very little idea what goes on behind closed doors with other couples we know and am not particularly interested either.

That's supposed to be busyness and not business.

My former husband did this, but not secretly. Points of comparison included: fatness/fitness, income and career ambition.

No. My wife is by far the hottest mom at our kid's school. No other mom even comes close. I catch dudes checking her out all the time.

Haha it's kind of funny but I suppose also informative that you only addressed the physical aspect

Probably the difference between a happy marriage and an unhappy one. My husband is constantly telling me about all the things I'm not doing that he sees other "happy" (he assumes) couples doing and asks why I can't be more like that. So, yes, he compares me to other wives, just not "secretly" ... to answer the OP. I don't compare him to anyone because I'm no longer interested in being married to him ... I don't wish he was more/less anything because him changing would not make me want to stay with him. Yes, we are unhappy and going to part ways.

My husband did this a few times and I ripped him a new one.

Sometimes, but then I realize they probably don't have a great 'butt'

Notice differences? Sure. Compare? No.

I also NEVER fantasize about another women while we are being intimate even if there are others present.

It is the only thing that matters.
