I have two male friends in their 60s who just told me they are crying. They are thinking of their daughters.

I remember being young and watching Anita Hill testify and feeling that it was terrible. Am no longer young but am still sad that nothing has changed.

The second front door thing is very chilling though. I understand where she is coming from on that.

Can you explain the second front door significance. I sincerely don't understand.

Yes. Methodically.

Garrett did it?

+1 the posters saying the prosecutor is destroying her and poking major holes in her story are so absurd and transparent. She has stayed consistent the entire time, and she has provided clarity where it was necessary, and has been as precise as seems humanly possible.

Teach your kids to speak up when they are the target of assault, or witnesses anything that's not right.

Are you people doing this?

Guess what is the BEST way to teach them?

Believe victims who come forward. If we changed our reactions to victims coming forward it would DRAMATICALLY change the reporting stats.

+1,000,000
Well said.

And once more for the people in the back.

How are we supposed to believe the victims when women clearly lie just as often as men? Did you not see the Brian Banks case that was just resolved? He served 6 years in jail for a rape he didn’t commit and had his whole life ruined. That is a good reason to take a step back in these situations I’d say

Women "clearly lie just as often as men" what does that mean? At least 60% of sexual assaults are not even reported. Of the 40% that are, a small percentage are identified as unfounded, of which false allegations are an even more minuscule percentage.

So no, people who report sexual assault (be they women or men) are lying in an incredibly small amount of cases.

Research has also demonstrated that false accusers tend to fit a certain profile as well, once that Ford does not fit. They tend to be young teens coming forward using a false accusation like an "alibi" when they don't want to get into trouble with their parents. They tend to be reports that are filed on behalf of someone, like a parent filing for a young teen. They tend to be people with severe mental illness like schizophrenia and who have trouble distinguishing realities. Etc.

This is interesting. 2/3 the one false accusation I’m aware of.

Nope, nope nope. Try again.

Present the evidence. Dems need to stop the head patting.

You sound interested in evidence and likely support an FBI investigation. I am with you on that!

One time I had to help a lawyer out at trial by sitting in the witness seat and reading into the record someone’s deposition testimony. THAT made me nervous. If this woman is nervous, smiling at a moment someone thinks she shouldn’t or having a quaky voice, I’m not surprised in the least.

I really really wish the Democrats would ask meaningful questions as well so that people don't say that they gave her a pass.

She said someone drove her home. How does that pick her story apart?

Love the Whitehouse questions about the FBI.

She states that she was so cumulatively traumatized over the year since the assault, then she essentially wanted an extra escape route, presumably in the event she would be susceptible to another attacker. That's my interpretation.

Listen to Democrats when they have a turn. They are only going over talking points. They are bringing NOTHING to the table.

She did not want her parents to know what happened. She would have been in a world of trouble for drinking with boys in a house with no adults present. She wanted to pretend that it never happened. She detailed all of this

So she greets him? I'm sorry but I would not say "hello how are you to my attacker"

I did. For two long years.

I question your emotional stability for that. Seriously. That's very odd.

Congratulations! You're Exhibit A for why women don't tell. Your mother must be so proud.

Anonymous wrote:So now, a Dem comes forward to speak of bravery and courage. LOL. That's all they have. They spend their five minutes on head patting. PRESENT THE DAMN EVIDENCE.

They’re also talking to the rest of us.
SHE’S presenting the evidence.

If you can't get out one front door, you can't get out the other. And let's say the guy is outside the first front door. You go out a second front door? Most sane people run out the BACK

Is this Google talking point some new desperate messaging from Fox or something? Seems to be the only thing Rs are grabbing onto in this embarrassing travesty.

A bunch of rich old white Rs passing judgment on this person. Gross.

Kavanaugh isn’t in the room now, is he? Is he definitely watching the testimony?
