Right, which is why I said that we probably can't trust the inscription and the other poster freaked out. |
He's 50. White GenX. The biggest MAGA voters. |
Who. Name them. Again, there may some random people here and there, but there are no elected leaders on the left who are cheering other than perhaps Ilian Omar, who had been doxxed and abused by these people for years (not excusing, it just saying) |
Wow you got me, I’m an NPC. I did take an arrow to the knee after all. Do you know what that’s from without googling it? You should since it’s a 14 year old game that’s been released a hundred times on every system ever. I think I have it on my thermostat. Sorry that’s another meme from “the gaming world”. |
Why wouldn't the left celebrate his death? It is he who demonized them. |
Specify what you mean by "the left". If you are talking about liberals/Democrats, which is millions of people, those people who are not celebrating. And the leadership of the Democrats are not celebrating and have been reasonable and measured in their responses. The GOP -not so much calling for retribution, beat downs, and violence against this nebulous left. Specify what exactly about "the left ideology" should be to blame? Again, if you are talking about liberals and Democrats, there is nothing in the mainstream ideology that promotes killing. This party tries to implement gun control and promote policies for social justice. You are talking out your butt and YOU are part of the problem with your inflammatory rhetoric. |
There's definitely a lot of weirdness in the alt-right community, like not wiping their asses because touching a butt, even your own to wipe it after going to the bathroom is "gay." https://metro.co.uk/2017/10/29/toxic-masculinity-is-preventing-some-men-from-wiping-their-bums-properly-7036601/ |
Celebrating his death is not cool, but it does not equate in any way to calling for his death beforehand. It also is not so widespread as the MAGA propaganda machine would have people believe. MAGA cant help themselves. Lying is like breathing. |
Because from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who both received ridiculous abuse from Kirk, on down to mayors and governors, they all express their condolences and calls for unity because they have more class than most of the republicans (Thom Tillis and a few others excluded) |
Kirk demonized a lot of people. Immigrants, women, LGBTQ+, liberals and progressives, public health officials, Muslims, the Chinese, blacks, election officials, public schools and universities, college professors, civil rights advocates, and on and on and on... There are tens of millions of people across America who have been targeted by Kirk, along with hundreds who were personally named as enemies by Kirk such as his "Professor Watchlist" which was used by his followers to threaten and harrass university professors and academic officials. But that said the only people I've seen "celebrating" Kirk's death are a handful of cherrypicked random people that the right wing keeps posting. People I've never heard of, with no position or clout or following anywhere among liberals, as well as some people who turned out to be right wing pretending to portray celebrating liberals as a form of satire to make the left look bad. |
+1 Constantly repeating this false narrative was incredibly damaging to the entire country. Which is what the bots want. |
I am on the left, and I might have differences of opinion, but wanting someone dead is extremist and abominable. WTF |
50? Jesus, he looks like he's 60. Should take better care of himself. |
No disagreement that it's been randos who have been celebrating, but it's still not an irrational reaction to someone who rouses so much sentiment against you. Disrespectful, yes, but not irrational. (but doesn't respect have to be earned, anyway?) And if MAGAs were honest with themselves, they'd admit that. But why don't we look at how Kirk reacted to the deaths of his political nemesises before we make a fair judgement? |
This is a sane and mainstream take, thank you. |
