I’m really appalled at some of the reactions I saw on Bluesky. Violence is not the answer (obviously), he didn’t deserve to be shot, and this is only putting us at risk for some reichstag fire and escalation.

The quote was in response to having an armed citizenry and liberty.

I hope they find the thug who shot him and lock him up for the rest of his life.

It’s a cold world we live in and Americans are desensitized to gun violence. It’s not that surprising.

Can you post some of the Bluesky reactions?

I was referring mostly to jokes in poor taste-I didn’t see anyone actually contending it was justified but still. To be fair the majority are condemning it (it’s just the proportion of “shrug” responses surprised me.)
