My guess is they’ll dance again at the end. We’ll find out which team gets better over the next month.

Landon might be a spoiler for a Prep Bullis rematch, unless they are on the same side of the tournament bracket in the end of the year tourney.

Prep dominated the game up 7-1 then 9-3, gave up a few man down goals late. Outshot Bullis 2-1. Bullis (excellent) keeper was pelted all day. Could have been 15 goals easily. Prep is very raw with their line up - could be scary good as season moves on.

Good to hear Prep and Bullis are 1-1 against each other. Good for Urick to get the win.
Landon played Gonzaga in a scrimmage. GZ played CHCHS yesterday, so GZ might have been a little tired. Those in Purple not dressed on the sidelines looked like younger aspirants, not starters, but I would love to hear from a GZ fan who Gonzaga was missing.

Landon jumped on Gonzaga at first, maybe up four or five goals and Gonzaga narrowed the lead. Landon went silent in the second while Gonzaga put one behind the Landon Goalie. Landon scored four in the third to Gonzaga's two. Both teams were big and athletic. Gonzaga put a lot of pressure on the ball and adjacents.

I had the scoring at Q1 5-3, Q2 0-1, Q 3 4-2

Landon cleared the bench for the fourth, Gonzaga didn't have much bench to clear. Q4-1-2.

A good scrimmage for two competitive teams. I think they both can walk away optimistic about the rest of their seasons. GZ has St. John's to chase and Landon has Bullis and Prep in addition to St. SSt.A and St. Albans.

As of now there is no IAC tourney, so no rematch. I truly hope that changes.

SJ is chasing Gonzaga.

I agree, StJ is chasing Conzaga until they win a couple.

Whoever said there will not be an IAC Tournament in Lacrosse is flat out wrong.

I hope you’re right. That’s not what we’ve been told.

That’s why the Richmond fogo is the key to the whole thing. He gets them all those possessions to get those shots. Bullis played way too much D. And way too much man-down. Need to be ready got on the line re physicality. Today, they went over that line too much. Prob 5 goals on man-up for Prep. Tough to compete w Prep playing that much man-down.

The Prep goalie has also been fantastic and a big difference maker. Heading into the season, the defensive end may have been a question mark, but thus far Def and Goalie have played very well.

Prep seemed to control the tempo throughout between the lines - possession is helpful but you need to do something with it. Very suprised at how good Prep’s on ball defense and GB game was...

Gonzaga had one starter who did not suit up, one of their U-Mass commits at attack.

A few general observations from the scrimmage, Landon looks more athletic than they have been in past years. I hardly noticed GZ attack so maybe Landon's defense is as good as advertised. GZ has a few nice middies who can dodge and beat their man and will shoot from anywhere. Landon has a very strong goalie (believe he is committed to Michigan). Gonzaga strength seemed to be in their poles / LSM who if they push the ball in transition they will be more dangerous. GZ settled 6v6 offense didn't seem nearly as potent as in years past but then again, Landon has two very strong defenders (Yale and Ohio State commit) which clearly made a difference in the back end. Landon also controlled the face-off X as their FOGO won a few times very cleanly. Not sure if GZ has a strong FOGO this year but that seemed to be a glaring weak spot for the Eagles. One of Gonzaga's LSMs was terrific and is the real deal though as he abused a few Landon middies.

Besides the usual suspects with Landon, the Michigan attackman who just bulldozes through people, the biggest surprise for the Bears was their freshman attackman who lead the team in total points.

Landon was up 5-1 after the first. Gonzaga woke up in the 2nd quarter and made it 5-3 going into the break. Landon took control of the scrimmage in the 3rd quarter, making it 9-4 heading into the 4th. The 4th quarter both teams emptied the bench and played everyone.

All in all it was a great scrimmage and before anyone puts too much emphasis into results, remember it was a scrimmage and Gonzaga had also played a scrimmage the day before against Calvert Hall.

On a different note, I am not surprised by the result of GP - Bullis game. While Bullis might have some of the best individual players in the area this Spring, they really lack depth in comparison to years past. Not only does GP has a ton of depth this year, their kids are physical. I thought GP was the better team even after watching the first contest and if it weren't for the Bullis keeper, GP wins by couple of goals in the first bout.

The IAC is really going to be interesting this Spring. While I do think GP and Bullis are the favorites, Landon is a team I don't think either one would want to play in the semi-finals.

Landon starting two freshmen who are both the real deal. Future looks bright.

Gonzaga could very well struggle this year against SJC.

SJC appears to be the cream of the crop of the WCAC this Spring.

Did that Massachusetts school that SJC scrimmage play anyone else locally? I think those kids got a big surprise. Manhandled by backups as well as starters. I don't think they would have beat Robinson or Churchill, or other public school powers.
