Will Trump drop Vance?

Dropping Vance is a very weak move and it would be hilarious to see Trump be forced to do so

It if happens, it would happen during the DNC in order to attract attention away from it or maybe just after. Vance will announce he is unable to continue on the ticket. Now, the reason will be tricky because he can't say he needs to focus on his family nor will he likely fall on his sword and say he is a distraction because he has his whole career ahead of him. Trump will say it is too bad because he was the best VP pick in the history of VP picks. Of course this won't happen unless Trump has someone else locked in to be VP. Carson may be the only person politically dumb enough to agree and he is only marginally better. Haley is the wildcard and could make the biggest difference.

But then the question is did Vance sign some sort of NDA, because he will then become a liability in the future.

Yes, I am just scenario-ing all this out in my head based on prior observations.

There’s a reason that the actual delegates are voting starting this week and not at the DNC. Several states ballot deadlines will have passed. By the DNC, it will be too late to pull Vance off the ballot in a couple of red states nd, oh yeah, OHIO. I don’t get how people are missing that 8/7, the Ohio ballot deadline, locks both parties in.

+1 And Ohio actually matters to Trump who needs it to win. We weren’t getting it anyway.

With Vance creeping people out, we might. If Sherrod Brown wins, which he likely will, the state will be in play... Trump REALLY needs Vance to stop acting so weird.

Abortion referendum went 59.2% in Ohio and Trump won it with 54%. There are clearly people in Ohio who know the risks of Trumps policies once get they get in voting booth— and don’t forget the 11 year old rape victim we were all assured would never happen happened…in Ohio

I don't know. It depends on the replacement and the Democrats VP. I could see them turning it around all it is is spin
Id like Harris to win so hopefully he changes nothing

It's very interesting how presidential DeSantis is trying to look the last few days. Is DeSantis posturing for VP?

+1 Agreed. A very weak move if his first decision as Presidential candidate gets invalidated and overturned so quickly. I will laugh so hard if he has to reverse his VP choice in the next few weeks. What an epic fail.

Or ... does he?

Maybe we can all agree that everything is going perfectly fine.

I think the Republican Party has the absolute right to make terrible decisions about the VP Candidate. Backing down would make them weak. You aren’t weak are you MAGA? You won’t listen to liberal elite mommies, right! (PLEASE keep Vance).

I don't know why anyone here thinks he would drop Vance. Is this just some dreamy angle for liberals to fap to?

Trump actually proclaimed that Vance was the future of the Republican Party. He wasn't getting senile and messing up, was he? It would be so weak and low energy to back this down. That would be a loser move.

"But Trump said it was partially about securing the future of the Republican Party after he was gone. “He is going to be a superstar in the future,” Trump told delegates and donors huddled inside the Baird Center, according to an attendee."

No, no. We all think he's going to keep pushing forward with Vance. That's exactly what he's going to do. No changes now, certainly no reason to do so.

Full steam ahead, PP.

DP. My friend, I live where I work. It's so rural that 1/3 the population here doesn't have electricity, and 1/2 doesn't have running water to their homes. You should see what it's like sometime. Open your eyes, get out of that weird echo chamber of your side.

That wouldn’t stop him. People’s attention span is so short these days, nobody would care if the new VP was a solid choice. That said, maybe Trump subconsciously wants to lose and then he can blame it all on creepy Vance.

^^Sorry, that should be 1/3 doesn't have running water. We've had some recent initiatives going, and things are improving. COVID relief funds under Biden's watch really helped.

Republicans for communism!

I never thought I'd see the day.

Ronald Reagan would be rolling over in his grave...
