I think McKnight & BOE are happy to get people's mind off their poor decision making regarding the pandemic.
How is McKnight still in charge? How can we get her out? BOE should be out, too. They only care about their pockets, politics, and their own agenda's. Of course Jawando wants SROs out, his kids are in private school. I am exhausted with them taking our money and not listening to ANYTHING we have to say. All of them cover up for each other. BOE is no longer formed of "volunteers" who only get reimbursed for mileage. They each make 25k/yr now. It's not a lot of money but it is money taken away from our kids to pay people who simply do not care. BOE is a joke. How can we make sure McKnight loses her job if BOE has her back. She is not fit for this job. MCPS, our kids were not safe. Our teachers were not safe, but you come out patting yourself on the back while kids were peeing in bottles and make-shift toilets. This is the best you could do. MCPS covers up rapes, weapons brought into the schools, and much much more. I know first hand.
+1 The dysfunction by school administrators and the BOE has been on full display during January 2022. A 15 year old child is still is in critical condition on their watch.
This stuff happened long before McKnight. We had those things many years ago in MCPS when some of us went. |
Ha! I kind of wish I were trolling. Maybe you are, and the modal opinion in my kid’s community isn’t as boot-licking as you make it sound. |
elrich didn't help with his woke "we just need to hug them more" strategy. He took the SROs out. What did he do to replace the program? |
| Elrich, Jawando, the board and McKnight need to be given the boot. Actually include Hogan on the list too |
I mean okay but please, Jawando first. It’s enough that this MAY have been avoided with SRO in the school. Hope he has trouble sleeping at night after this (and sending his kids to private school in the morning.) Shame on the voters of this county for electing him. |
Your use of the term “boot-licking” does nothing other than weaken your argument. People can see the value of police without worshiping them as your ridiculous term suggests. There’s a wide range between extreme hatred of police, which seems to be on display from a few posters, and extreme adoration. I believe most logical people fall somewhere in the middle; they can see the value of good policing and would like that in their communities. |
| Wait.. Jawando lives in Bethesda, sends his kids to private school, but he thinks he knows what's best for a large public? GTFO. |
Sadly, WTOP is reporting the student's condition is worsening and he is fighting for his life. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. |

At least with SROs inside there were outside agency eyes on what was going on. What is the accountability mechanism for ensuring schools are reporting crimes? |
Yup. Somethings not right there and he hangs out with a convicted drug trafficker (miskiri). Very very weird. |

It really isn't anything new but its getting more serious now and something needs to be done. She has had 1/2 a school year to work on some of this and nothing has been put in place nor even suggestions of something to put in place to keep our kids and staff safe. We've been pretty lucky but our luck has run out. |
I think he moved out to Olney or further out but his kids are in private school. He lives a very comfortable life. |
No problem that he lives comfortable life. It is the the making decisions about the safety of public school kids stains that the advice of public school principals while not sending his kids there. Well, we voted him in |
He’s out here in Olney? That’s the first I’ve heard of that. |
