I think the yoga-mat people start a new thread every time someone new asks the question, so it never gets to grow to 447 pages. |
Wait, you mean my yoga mat wont last forever ? |
I knew this dude would surface again. |
Enjoy watching your kid play for BRYC but please understand that nobody but you cares where your kid plays just as you shouldn't care where my kids play. |
tryouts are a bit early this year, aren't they? At least on the girls side

Most clubs look to be starting in early May. So kinda early. |
arlington U9 B&G tryouts are in April too, but late April |
FCV clearly wanted ECNL, at least they tried to sell that Kool aid to parents in the beginning. some true believers here on this thread, claiming there was the possibility of both. Bah, ha, ha. yah right. they clearly had it taken away: as in they wanted it, tried to sell it, but couldn't have it, so yes they had to give it up. And you know ecnl .... that's why your here on DCUM. lol |
FCV always maintained that they felt they had met the requirements to keep ECNL and had hoped that the Loudoun partnership would help sway ECNL but they NEVER said that they were in ECNL for the 2017-18 season. They ALWAYS said it was in the hands of ECNL. Their Town Hall focused solely on the partnership and DA and ECNL was just a footnote. |
With regard to the Sting choosing ECNL vs DA, I think a big contributor comes down to the conference alignment and the resulting time obligations. Just looking at the conference alignment for the Frontier group, their travel radius would have been horrendous. There are four destinations 600-800 miles away. The ECNL Texas conference is a much tighter grouping. Between the extra mandated practice session per week, the time for travel, the other warts they mention, and the dubious increase in competitiveness this year, I understand their conclusion. I note that they were clear to say "for the 2017-18 year" in their press release. Never say never in youth soccer.
For DA teams in the DC area, the travel radius is about as tight as it could be in the Atlantic Div. ECNL has a pretty big travel radius from our area this year; next year's alignment is better but still has more travel than DA. Obviously this ignores showcase travel and out of conference matches. |
This is all true. For Sting DA was a pain travel wise. My guess is US Soccer will try and tighten that area up a bit. |
You are nothing but a rookie with a keyboard. No real life experience to speak on. Just adopting other peoples opinions as your own original thoughts and then regurgitating them to the uneducated in hopes f winning a argument. My child does play ECNL. That's how I'm able to spot a fraud like you. So if you actually want to learn something I suggest you sit down and raise your hand like a proper student. FCV is a founding member of ECNL. Their former owner actually made it happen. FCV could have stayed in ECNL as long as they wanted to. However, the new owner applied and was awarded DA. They chose DA. Yes, they wanted to keep ECNL as well and tried to swing some deals to make it happen. However, they are not big enough to support both. Now move on peseant |
Here is a pat on the back for our ECNL snob on the Urban Mom board ... thanks for conceding the point that ECNL would not let them keep it because OBVIOUSLY they are nowhere close to the size of Sting, among other things. It was taken away and BRYC got it. Sorry you don't like it ECNL snob. |
ECNL snob and CCL guy should start their own thread |
Youre the guy that wears white new balance and tight shorts. No need to argue with you anymore. |
