Likely Loudoun has more input with FCV regarding player selection and identification. |
Loudoun coaches will be pretty involved at FCV. |
It would appear very little on the girls side. Its an FCV team coached primarily by FCV staff. Its tbeir DA berth, and their rep. I think the boys side is a similar situation but under Loudoun control. |
Exactly my point So why is the Loudoun FCV partnership better then a Spirit Loudoun partnership? (Obviously for girls) Loudoun teams could have stayed together through the Spirit partnership. Now the have been dismantled. Loudoun has nothing. LOUDOUN HAS NO CONTROL. IT'S FCV DA |
Yeah but they do have a killer website. |
I don't live anywhere near Loudoun, but this conversation has made me want to adopt a daughter, focus on nothing but training her to being a DA-level player, and having her play for Loudoun. |
there are no DA-level Loudoun players ... those players belong to FCV |
Daryl Gee gone...RA no longer coaching....New TD only cares about Boys DA...Girls teams dismantled.... What's going on Loudoun SC |
I fixed that for you. |
How much is FCV paying you for your work in this thread? I have no self-interest in this (I have boys, and they're not anywhere near this level), but do you have any idea how poorly this reflects on FCV? Not exactly dismantling the image of an ego-driven club with delusions of grandeur and obnoxious parents. |
I think you are reading it wrong. Its a slam against Loudoun SC |
exactly |
This may actually be interesting and I wonder what the inside scoop is. Does anyone know who the first mover was on the BRYC-Arlington-Loudoun Spirit DA breakup? It seems that any one of the three of them that was the last mover could have stuck with Spirit and been in a pretty good situation right now. |
Loudoun does seem to be fraying a bit but dismantled might be a little strong. Seems like the older girls teams might be less affected. Its the layers U12, U13, U14 that would see some of the top flight girls leave. I expect the various Loudoun Red's will still be good next year, but perhaps not as dominant as previous. Its not like teams in any club don't see alot of change every year anyway. Next year, something new will happen that will smush it a different way, favoring another club. |
BRYC was the first one out with their ECNL announcement, then Loudoun announced their FCV partnership a couple weeks after that. I haven't seen anything from Arlington in all of this. It's like they just slowly backed away into the shadows with no response. |
