My mother in law wears a similar dress to weddings - hers is knee length but the fit is similar. It's a nice dress!

I’m sure your MIL looks great in it, but this one on Melania. Meh. Makes her look thick when she is not, just kind of all around underwhelming. Maybe the matte metallic element looked neater up close but it’s just eh.

Up close, the neckline/sleeves of Ivanka's dress are horrible. It looks like they basted it to see how it would look and then ran out of time to finish it - like a bad Project Runway effort.
