This is the fashion forum -- can we please just discuss the fashion without every thread turning into a political debate about whether it's fair to criticize the fashion?

I like the hot pink coat dress. Unfortunately, it looked hideous in most of the shots because they weren't thinking about the fact that the podium would cut her off at the chest and those balloon sleeves would just look like an enormous balloon. She needs a stylist that things about these things -- if you're giving a speech at a podium, you need something that is going to look good from the armpits up. This would have been great for an outing where she was mostly photographed from head-to-toe, like an outdoor event where she was standing on stage off to the side.

I liked the suit also, with the black shirt.

I've commented before that I've been a little disappointed by her fashion choices -- very hit or miss, and sometimes very weirdly militaristic or remniscent of Knot's Landing. But given that we've all been griping about how ugly all the clothes are lately, maybe she's having the same problems.

I have dreams about what I'd wear if I had endless money and lots of fancy parties to go to.....

I think the biggest sin of her outfit is the matching pink shoes. They remind me of the ones you'd get dyed to match your prom dress.

When Melania looks at regular women, all she sees is potential $$$.

Despite what you believe, she IS our First Lady. The sooner you come to terms with this FACT, the better off you will be.

I think she has had some nice outfits, I especially liked her inauguration ball dress, but almost all of her outfits have something... off about them. Like the nice suit in one of the posts above... what was going on with those pants?

Yep, and she must have had them tailored into that cropped, too tight configuration, that was not how they were designed. She clearly had the day of model school where they said keep your hand in your pocket at all cost, the way she moves in the video is utterly awkward.
