ECNL has never kicked out a club, ever. |
|
So besides MW’s old team, BRYC girls have a -104 goal differential and one win. They’re making ECNL look bad.
BRYC might not be given an additional year. They might just exit when Arlington gets in. |
| ECNL going to a relegation system for clubs. BRYC out Arlington in. |
| Someone has to be last. |
Yes they have |
Yeah, only to then expand to 120 clubs. BRYC isn't going anywhere until GA is killed off. ECNL will not concede any ground. |
And yet they beat Arlington. Then Arlington does not belong. |
Who? |
This would do two things: 1. Force Clubs to focus on developing players to make them better. 2. Forces clubs to recruit proven coaches to get the kids better. Because if not, you will be Bounced like BRYC. |
VA rush in VA Beach for one. You have to be OG for that one. |
| BRYc not getting kicked out |
Pan-Am Airlines is healthy. |
It won't happen. Top clubs adverse league membership to get top players. They aren't about to agree to a situation where they can't guarantee their top teams will be in leagues that are scouted by colleges |
| There are 104 reasons BRYC gets removed from ECNL. |
Stop the pro/rel dream, this isn't Europe. Relegation never forces clubs to develop players. It forces clubs to win and collect players. Pro/Rel does not work when parents are footing the bill. As a parent I want stability for my player. As a parent I want a predictable showcase landscape. Pro/Rel only works in a open league environment. ECNL is a closed league. There is no true objective way for a outside club to earn their way into the league. ECNL can convince clubs to join ECNL R with the hope of working their way in but that doesn't exist and moving from ECNL R to ECNL is still an application process. For pro/rel to work ECNL would have to put a hard cap on the size of the league. ECNL is a showcase league and nothing more. It is not a pro league for kids. It's only attraction is for players who aspire to play in college and beyond. Parents will take their kids to a ECNL club for the showcasing and they are not interested in whether a club is going to be in the league from year to year. |
