This would do two things:
1. Force Clubs to focus on developing players to make them better.
2. Forces clubs to recruit proven coaches to get the kids better.

Because if not, you will be Bounced like BRYC.

Stop the pro/rel dream, this isn't Europe.

Relegation never forces clubs to develop players. It forces clubs to win and collect players. Pro/Rel does not work when parents are footing the bill. As a parent I want stability for my player. As a parent I want a predictable showcase landscape. Pro/Rel only works in a open league environment. ECNL is a closed league. There is no true objective way for a outside club to earn their way into the league. ECNL can convince clubs to join ECNL R with the hope of working their way in but that doesn't exist and moving from ECNL R to ECNL is still an application process. For pro/rel to work ECNL would have to put a hard cap on the size of the league.

ECNL is a showcase league and nothing more. It is not a pro league for kids. It's only attraction is for players who aspire to play in college and beyond. Parents will take their kids to a ECNL club for the showcasing and they are not interested in whether a club is going to be in the league from year to year.

I agree, there won’t be a pro/rel. I agree it is a showcase league. Which is why -104 goal differential BRYC won’t be in it.

The ECNL will not kick a club out who has underperformed during COVID.

You reek of desperation.

Arlington in 2021. FCV to continue in EDP, send representatives to Richmond in 2022 to plead for ECNL.

Yeah I’m a BRYC parent and scared as well, but DD graduates this year. Sad to see what became of this once great club.

All they have to do is merge with another club, get that right and they will be fine.

Well it won't be FCV. So who is left to merge with?

No. ECNL will make a better selection. Arlington girls in to match the boys program, BRYC out in a year. McLean takes FCV best players and I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an understanding between McLean and Arlington.

Loudoun paid staffer patrolling DCUM. How cute.

Why TF would ECNL kick bryc out and not your slimy sorry excuse of a club? Owning two turf fields does not mean you are hot in any way. In fact, you’re still underperforming in spite of said abilities and resources.

Here's why:
08 BRYC ECNL girls: 0-7-1 (-28 GD)
07 BRYC ECNL girls: 0-6-2 (-20 GD)
06 BRYC ECNL girls: 1-4-2 (-5 GD)
05 BRYC ECNL girls: 0-6-1 (-18 GD)
04 BRYC ECNL girls: 0-7-0 (-33 GD)
03/02 BRYC ECNL girls: 5-2-1 (+8 GD)
Combined BRYC ECNL record: 6-32-7
For comparison sake, Loudoun, which isn't a world-beater by any means, is: 15-19-8

08 Loudoun ECNL girls: 2-3-2 (-5 GD) 9/13
07 Loudoun ECNL girls: 7-0-0 (+15 GD) 1/13
06 Loudoun ECNL girls: 1-5-1 (-10 GD) 12/13
05 Loudoun ECNL girls: 2-2-3 (-2 GD) 8/13
04 Loudoun ECNL girls: 3-3-1 (+4 GD) 7/13
03/02 Loudoun ECNL girls: 0-6-1 (-20 GD) 13/13
Combined Loudoun ECNL record: 15-19-8

What you seem to have omitted is:

A) half of Loudoun’s combined wins comes from one team...
B) the rest of Loudoun’s combined wins was against..... wait for it......... BRYC. lol
C) using logic it’s blatantly clear Loudoun really is another bottom dweller. Eating the scrapes left by BRYC. Not a good look when you have a bloated player pool, independent fields, and the richest parents in the nation pumping dollars endlessly without any tangible accountability.

Because I’m feeling cute I’ll tell one more thing:

08s Loudoun’s 2 wins both against BRYC
06s Loudoun’s 1 win against BRYC
05s Loudoun’s 2 wins one against VDA the other one against BRYC (one surprise at least!)
04s Loudoun’s 3 wins one against McLean and the other 2 against...... you guessed it, BRYC
03/02s Loudoun’s zero wins... oh wait.... LOL

Your argument doesn’t hold ground when your wins have only been to the worst of the worst. Sit down staffer. You know you’re heading to the ECNL guillotine sooner or later. Patience is a virtue.

Cheers!

Not a loudoun staffer....let's not be silly here. Was just retorting previous comment about about "Why TF would ECNL kick bryc out and not Loudoun" by looking at the records. If you're going to take out the Loudiun 07s and look at records, then take out BRYC 03/02 as well - two can play that game. One win in total across 5 age groups....yikes. And if you're saying loudoun is bad, but they consistently beat BRYC, what does that make BRYC? At the older age groups, Loudoun didn't have ECNL until recently. The younger age groups (07 and below) they are doing better, and I think will continue to do so. What's BRYC's excuse?

Yes. Further more. ECNL is expanding, not shrinking. Loudoun beats BRYC, sometimes VDA and a few of the NC/SC teams (which they did not get to play this year due to Covid). Middle of the pack for years. This does not get you kicked out, especially with heft of Loudoun's players scope and longevity. Please grind your axe somewhere else FCV guy. Yes, we know Loudoun's coaching at the older ages is poor to mediocre at best, but that's not the way this game works ...

Those coaches at the older age groups aren’t going anywhere and they are going to be your kids coach soon.
