Boys is not girls. Stop thinking of them as a collective. VDA had boys DA and girls ECNL. Arlingtpn had boys DA and nothing elite for the girls. |
| In order for consolidation to happen, not everyone can have a ECNL club. Understand? Arlington girls will go back to Mclean and have strong teams. |
| I understand but don’t agree. Why have 5 local ECNL boys clubs and only 4 girls. I think Arlington girls will get it. They could be competitive right now in ECNL. Have consolidation through players leaving FCV for one of the ECNL clubs. |
With all due respect, its not happening. Mclean is a very well known club. Their name is recognized l Arlington kids have always been an important part of their success. Its their home for ECNL. ECNL board knows this. It's time for you to recognize this as well. |
| Surly Arlington parents aren't this lazy. Its a 20 minute drive. |
But it’s not worth drive. Things have changed, we get it... |
Then play GA. Simple as that. |
This may have been true in the past. The coaching slate now for both boys and girls is very strong. |
It doesnt matter how strong the cosching is....they will leave at U14 |
But they aren’t. In fact kids from other clubs (e.g. McLean) are coming to Arlington. The boys and girls side at that club are much stronger than the neighboring clubs. |
U9-U13 won't leave. EVER. They leave at U14. The didnt leave this ysar because they're giving GA a chance...but that will come to an end and the flow of talent will start again. Once that happens, it's over. Arlington will go back to be known as a "little kid club" much like Loudoun has been for years due to its proximity to FCV. |
| Nobody left any clubs this year because of Covid as well |
Nobody left because they want to see how GA will play out. Its not going to play out well and consolidation will happen. Which is needed anyways. |
| Next year Arlington Boys top team is going to MLS Next, Arlington Boys Red team will fill the Boy's ECNL slot and Arlington Girls will get ECNL. |
