| If the Sussexes had asked first they would most likely have been denied permission. This way they get to negotiate. |
Yes they look like teenagers making an announcement about something that their parents already told them not to do, and hoping it sticks because they have said it was what they're doing. It's just going to make the parents madder. |
| I just read that Charles and his Duchy will still support them! How very independent! |
Yup which makes it all the more obvious that MM and Harry love and want the drama and attention. Otherwise why in the world would you let this play out publicly with an announcement on social media for the entire world to see instead of just going about your business and doing what you want to do? Once again these two whine about privacy and go and do the exact opposite. |

I would respect them if they did the following:
1.) Refund the 2.4 million used to refurbish their home in England and have it go toward something that benefits the taxpayers who paid for it. 2.) Pay for their own security detail 3.) No money from Charles They have approximately 25+ million to play with already. It's hard to cheer them on unless they refund just about everything from their royal days. |
| They typical mindset of a millennial (or a toddler) ...act first w/o thought then apologize later for it. |
Diana did not keep the HRH status, which she cried about. also, Meghan is no Diana. |
Yes, but definitely fun to read. I don't like any of the royals and think the BRF are a bunch of sleazy grifters, but I read these threads because they are entertainment gold. I tend to think the Kate stans are, on the whole, the more unhinged as a group, but the MM fans do give them a solid run for their money. |
Yes, better to ask forgiveness after the fact than permission beforehand. But there are three different entities that they're dealing with: their family, the press, and the public. They're already at war with one of them, the press. Now they're setting themselves against another, the BRF. They are assuming that they will remain in the public's good graces, but they've been booed already at engagements. |
Yep. It's negotiation strategy. |
The taxpayers fund the royals in turn for having their own personal reality show soap operah to watch and criticize. If you don't play by the rules then give back the money. |

Did I miss it? What is their obsession with Canada that they want to take up residence there?
Is MM using CA to make a comeback in acting, but spinning it that she wants to be closer to Doria (which I didn't think they were ever THAT close at least enough to want to live nearby). And I would think MM would avoid CA given her nutty sister and dad live there, no? |
| Black girl magic at its finest. |
| So is Harry stupid enough to essentially piss on his country by excommunicating himself from the Royal family and then expect to remain in the good graces of the general British public? He must be expecting that the US and Canadians will lap him up then, right? He’s either a complete moron or insanely confident that his international popularity will eclipse his own national popularity. Seems a bit presumptuous to me when you consider that he’s essentially putting all of his eggs in one basket now. |
