And the reason this in the FCV DA thread is because someone posted college commits. That sparked a conversation about the quality of school, the quality of soccer program and the quality of the degrees that the student athletes intend to obtain.

The reality is many student athletes are getting weak degrees compared to their counterparts

Not true. For professional hiring (and networking), people pay too much attention to where you go. They shouldn't. Nobody cares where you go undergrad if you have a graduate or professional degree. Once you get established, all of that matters a lot less. And yes, I know where my doctors went (they usually bring it up) and I know plenty of colleagues who would select physicians and lawyers on that basis - certainly if they are picking surgeons or oncologists. Stupid, I know. Proficiency and achievement (and then reputation) are what takes you to higher levels after initial establishment.

I have engineers in the family of varying kinds, accountants, nurses and a couple of surgeons. The school doesn't matter for any of us.

Blue is a perfectly good color. However, some people think they can make it better by adding another color to get another color when the original color would have gotten the job done faster with a lot less effort and money. The same people then feel the need to defend their new color because of the personal association that have with it.

I see they are posting another day of ID sessions this Wednesday night. Any offers actually going out/outside players showing up? Seems like a lot of sessions continuing to be advertised...

Lots of new players showing up. I know a couple offers went out. There was a cancellation of one of the id sessions due to weather - maybe that's why there are more. Also, now that ECNL is over in VA for the season, they can come out.

sure they are.

To my knowledge, no limitation on ECNL coming out to a DA session anyway. ECNL can't go to another ECNL club before May, DA can't go to another DA club without permission from the current club (in theory, some teams violate), but nothing stopping you from going from one league to another for ID.
