Are we also so mad at Randall right now that we don't want to talk about it? ![]() |
YES. So mad. |
WHAT DOES RANDALL DO TO EARN MONEY THESE DAYS? His stint as city councilman hasn't started yet and, when it does, it's not going to make him rich. As far as I can tell, neither he nor Beth have paying jobs right now.
I was actually happy that Randall hadn't trekked across the country (for $700 or something) to see Kate's made-up graduation. Then, right after he goes ass-up on Beth, there he is: in CALIFORNIA. They must be racking up that credit card debt, y'all. |
I meant "all so" but you got my point. What IS Randall's problem these days? I want his mother to wallop him. After she wrings Kevin's neck first. |
I think he's taken the self care he needed to do to a family-harming level. I know he's been there for his kids, but the harm he's doing to Beth is harming his whole family. |
On a superficial note, I am desperate to find the earrings Kate. was wearing last night. Gorgeous rose quartz. |
I’m having a hard time getting past the stupidity of the city council storyline. Two hour drive each way? Who does that? And who votes for that? I thought he was going to propose moving the whole family to Philly. That would make more sense. |
But what are Kate and Toby living on? |
Unrealistic hopes and dreams? |
This show is such a huge downer. You just know there will have to be some issue with the baby... |
Yes I know it’s fiction, but IRL, what are the chances Kate conceives, carrier and delivers a healthy baby? |
Yes. He can quit his stupid vanity job so he can be home for the kids. |
I hate the city council plot. Also I think they are both incredibly selfish. Why even foster/adopt if they’re going to go off in search of their dream jobs that take both parents away from the house? That being said, it really was time for Randall to support Beth. He’s being incredibly selfish. |
+2 I think Randall's choices re: Philly have been consistently selfish, and meant an enormous time away from Deja then and ongoing. And he was the one who spearheaded fostering in the first place. His putting that on Beth is beyond the pale. That said, they probably have/had a significant nest egg from his very lucrative past job. And they could do plenty to downsize: trade in the 100K car for a modest model, downsize the big house in the fancy neighborhood etc. |
I am so irritated that the big 3 are so special b/c their awesome dad died when they were teens and they had to alter their dreams. Beth's dad died when she was a teen and she had to alter her dreams too, but no one really cares. You'd think she and Kate would have a special relationship ship with a shared similar experience.
I think Toby owned some kind of music company. I remember him taking Kate there when they first met. |
