I understand that at times you might miss open teammates on the field, so remember to stay alert for signals from the spectators, especially when you hear, “LOOK AT LARLA!” That’s your cue for where to pass the ball.

Love it. Hilarious!

Super proud Senior Saints mom and I have full confidence in our team! Let's ignore these trolls trying to stir up trouble. The goal is to have all players performing at their best, making smart passes, and not rushing plays
moving ball to open player. A cohesive team that supports each other and looks for open teammates will surely end the season as champions. I highly doubt that these comments are from a team player or even a parent. These are just trolls trying to cause trouble. The team is doing well, the girls are united, and they are working together. All of us look forward to having our injured seniors back on the field soon. We know who is leading the team. IYKYK Go Saints

What this team needed was new blood. Now the underclassmen are doing what the upperclassmen haven’t been able to accomplish.

And imagine how girls who have been dedicated to the school program for years feel on the sidelines being passed over for players like this.

Sounds like you have one of those coaches. They play the players that have been built by others and don't bother to build the others so they can compete.

If this is the thread after an 11-5 team win I hope all players stay off here this year. A great game and zero drama and this is what the discourse is? No thanks.

SJC is really lucky to have her on their team. I heard that many players from St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School played club games with her and secretly wished she was on their team. SJC put up a good fight, but even with some of the top senior players from St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School out injured, I believe the Saints showed some impressive depth. The younger players just need to focus on their fast passes and moving the ball to open players if they want to earn playing time once the seniors return. The newcomers made a few rushed shots, poor passes, and missed open teammates. Those mistakes won't be acceptable once the senior players are back in action. I really hope the younger players can find their groove and improve, but only time will tell. They definitely have potential, but they need to clean up their game, stay calm under pressure, and make quicker decisions without forcing it. The Saints Amherst goalie commit was outstanding today. Despite the score, SJC could surprise any team on any given day.

What number is the Yale commit?

Too many mental errors. Biggest one was they drew a yellow card but almost immediately threw it away and then NDP scored man don.

Mental errors are typically signs of subpar coaching. Could also be lack of individual training.

I’d be curious to see how the Baltimore area hs practices are run and compare them to ISL practices.

Are the Baltimore area girls training more?

After the first few goals, looked like Saints defense really settled in and made it tough for SJC to get anything clean-- shots felt rushed, off, and weaker than i've seen. On the SSSA side, honestly didn’t see a weak link on offense. They looked way more connected than I remember last year, moving the ball well and not playing hero ball. Not sure exactly who the underclassmen were, but they’ve definitely got depth.

SSSAS dominated overall. Effective on attack, strong in draw and transition, solid on D. Talented team. SSSAS #41 was impressive running downhill to goal and finishing. A transfer? Seems that they will be hard to beat in the ISL if they can maintain their level of play for the full season, especially if yesterday included seniors out. SJC struggled to clear; early season issues, with three starting defenders who drove the clear for them out with injuries. As a result, they didn't have their rhythm on attack either. Wouldn't count them out, as they are well-coached and improved over the course of last season. Cadets have some good young talent, upper class leadership, and can pull it together.

The talent pool in Baltimore is much deeper. Girls that play on Varsity early on in D.C. because the talent is thin would be on JV or possibly cut in Baltimore. The skill level is just higher there.

Baltimore has more elite talent. The elite girls in DMV are just as good as Baltimore. Problem is that there is not many of them.
