Wow, this story gets stranger and stranger. As Bob’s kids are teens it is unlikely that they will be shielded from this and that is very very unfortunate.

One of his kids is named after an atlas shrugged character - that’s mega cringe so they probably already sense their dad was odd

Sorry, I’m a naive flyover kid too but by the time you are 40 and have kids that excuse doesn’t fly.

I'm not surprised by any of this, the subtext was already pretty clear. He was hanging out with these dissolute types not spending time with his kids while in town. He moved away from them to Miami, another party scene, and he and his RETIRED WIDOWED FATHER kept referring to their "bachelor lifestyle." It's tawdry, sad, not uncommon in that industry and very Peter Pan. His ex-wife probably thought he'd grow up. Very sad for his kids who will likely feel that they were not worthy of their father's love and attention.

His death is tragic but so was how he was choosing to live, kwim?

I am still perplexed by Momeni motive, anger about his sister or what not doesn’t really explain the premeditated nature of this murder. Finding a kitchen knife, stashing it and driving away, that is deliberate

Possibly but more likely a personal reason because of the method. It would have been easier to give him drugs laced with fatal dose of fentanyl.
