But why not do it already? Why draw it out.

I’m wondering the same. She could have “fallen overboard” while the “nephew” distracted Portia.

I think it’s because he has taken a liking to Tanya, thus the comment about how he couldn’t imagine a life without beauty. I think he is having second thoughts.

^ Not romantically of course. But has bonded with her.

I find it interesting that everyone thinks Ethan is "such a good guy" simply because he's not Cameron. I find Ethan to be kind of a dick, TBH. He constantly putting Harper down with her gossiping, most of which is harmless and the sort of thing every married couple would do. He won't sleep with her and is kind of rude about that. He discusses fairly intimate details of their sex life with people she doesn't like and his college roommate who he is at best on the fence about. He doesn't sleep with Mia, but that's not exactly a badge of honor there.

I’m married to an Ethan. He rarely sleeps with me and uses sex to control me. It’s a mind F%ck. I cringe watching the show because it has made me resentful and just like Harper.

And he is always picking on people, constantly looking for 0.01% imperfections in their spouse.
Watching this show makes me cry a little.

Ethan doesn’t pick on people.

When he ask his wife “can you at least try” and at the Champaign scene, he is definitely picking on her.
She is a dud but there are way better ways to handle that. I recognize a lot of pattern - the man doesn’t want to validate wife’s good traits, she gets insecure and acts out to seek attention, which in turn pushes him further.

I disagree. I don’t think Harper is a dud. She was spot on about Cameron and daphne and doesn’t see why she should have to hang out with them. Deep down it doesn’t even seem like Ethan likes Cameron.

So from my real experience, my Ethan has an aggressive type A “friend” who invites my Ethan to hang out and then talk shit about me.
My Ethan would get upset with me.
Later on he will regret and hate his Cameron.
But next time his Cameron ask him to go out he goes, rinse and repeat.
I gotta say mark white is a genius.

I had a similar experience with an ex. Passive-aggressive Beta men are the worst. I despise Ethan.

The question is whether we are being deliberately sent down the wrong path or will there be a twist? I’m expecting a twist. Mike White is a former Survivor who likes the blindside. I love that I can’t figure it out. I always end up guessing the ending but not with these shows. So well done!

Highly doubt Tanya will die because she will be the link to season three.

I don’t think so. That line seemed super sinister to me. I think maybe the villa is actually his but he’s run out of money and killing Tanya will get him enough to save it/stay in it. The life without beauty is what he’s facing right now, having run out of inherited money.

Where did the head injury come from? I was confused by that. Did I miss it?

I think the gays are an example of what Daphne and Cameron talked about in the first ep- European aristocrats who have beautiful chateau but are actually flat broke. They are killing Tanya for a share of her money (which they will get from her DH, who is the ranch hand)

That's my guess.

Why do you think so? I thought that whole exchange was so strange. Like there is no personal trainer?

She made a comment about the trainer's blue eyes and then the kid in the pic had blue eyes.

There’s no actual trainer. Her kids are the trainer. She was implying that at the end of the day she spends more time with her kids anyway, that’s what helps her rationalize the dysfunction in her marriage, and that maybe Harper should look for something else to take up her own mindshare instead of obsessing over Ethan.

Oh, I think there is a trainer, but I think she stays with her husband for the kids.

Is the villa that Tanya is staying at the same one the wife’s went to for the night? I think it’s all a scam.

Then what is taking so long? Why the opera etc? Like a PP said, he could have done this at any time, and no need to wine and dine her first.

He said he bumped it on the nightstand reaching for the remote he'd dropped.

No way Tanya is dying. She’s the franchise.
