He is so good looking. Much better than Cam.

The show is clearly intending to show that Harper didn’t cheat and Ethan did. Mind blowing that people so desperately want to change that around despite how clear it is that this wasn’t the show’s intent. Like absolutely wild.

He's hot as hell. Much hotter than Cam. Cam was greasy and smelly and we all know it.

Ethan was rich, good looking, fit, polite, and held all the right views. Harper still didn't really want to have sex with him -- we saw her offering some vacation duty sex, but you could tell - particularly compared to Daphne's interactions with Cameron - Harper was not really that attracted to Ethan.

Her wanting to sleep with Cameron reinforced a lot of fears. Here is a guy who stands for everything she claims to hate and yet, within four days, she's looking to cheat on her husband with him. Chicks dig a**holes.

What?! Harper tried over and over to have s** with her husband and he rejected her. Then she found out he'd had this crazy night while she was out o town, and decided that to heck with it - she was going to have fun here, too. She didn't actually want Cam in the beginning - it was only after Ethan seemed untrustworthy that she let loose with him. She wanted her husband to want her.

She wanted to feel desired. Remember how she tells Ethan on the cell call all the Italian men desire her on their overnight trip. Her husband made her feel undesirable, while Cam as psychotic as he is, didn't hold back his interest. The first day there Cam made a move was her husband was being a creepy porn addict.

I am the PP - and yes, exactly. I know that weirdo who keeps coming on here to post strange stuff about Cam being a section 7 alpha whatever whatever doesn't see it this way. But Harper wanted to be wanted. She tried so hard with her husband and he just kept rejecting him. Ethan having that bender set up a permission structure for her to give in to the man - awful as he was - who expressed real desire for her.

Series 7 is a financial licensing exam that Cam may or may not have. It and his Yale bachelor's were referenced in response to Cam not being an idiot. Cam's quite polished, cunning and charismatic, happily married with children suggests he values stability and optics. Those are all sharp, forward-thinking traits. He seems to have landed at least of chunk of his college roommate's fortune to manage (the entire goal of the trip) and got the best of Harper (icing on the cake sexual conquest for old time's sake). Cam won.

When diid Cam land Ethan's money to manage? I missed that

Literally the entire point of the trip. It was all a business expense — including the money for the hookers. You think Cameron and Daphne wanted to vacation with these bores? It was all a con to get their hands on managing tech boy’s fortune.

but they didn't. Ethan knows he got over on Cam. He finally settled the score and screwed Cam's wife. Cam got a kiss and his wife, who clearly was bothered that he tried with Harper, has one more bit of anger at him even though she keeps it hidden. It is going to boil over sometime. Ethan has the money, had the wife, has a wife who doesn't screw around on him, and has a future. Cam will probably be in jail eventually.

I loved how Jack warns Portia to go straight to the airport to avoid these dudes because they are so dangerous. Yet it was Tanya, clad in pink, that gunned down all of them.

Ethan took a walk. Harper was doing shots with a dude she'd been flirting with for days and took him up to her room and locked the door.

You must be blind in one eye and wearing a patch on the other. He is so hot.

Yuck- he looks like an awkward 13 year old nerdy boy.

And without even aiming the gun!

I don't know about taking a walk with Daphne, but Ethan should've taken a swing at Cam a long time ago. A good scrap can sometimes fix things between dudes.

What does being a hipster have to do with being affectionate?!

I think the trope is that hipster women are man-hating, ball busters. Hipster men are performatively pro-feminist, beta, submissive, and as such are secretly despised by the women who proclaim they want such men but actually want a *real* man.

Pretty spot on assessment.

So if there wasn’t a grift between Cam/Daphne trying to bilk money from Ethan/Harper, then why did they invite them on the trip? Was it just as a game? Or some competition between the two guys? They weren’t really friends after college, so it seemed odd to vacation together without having an ulterior motive, and the financial shakedown, we all thought was going to happen, because Cam didn’t have money, did not seem to be part of the story line in the end.

You were all wrong about Cam not having money. He’s doing fine. And frankly he’s just a normal finance bro, not a scammer.
