Loved the first episode and excited for the new season.

+1

And the best quote of all time from the old guy to his grandson:

“It’s a penis, not a rainbow.”

"It's a penis, not a sunset." Get it right.

Um, were you dozing during the episode? There was plenty of discussion about privilege. But not race, which was spotlighted in season 1.

DH kept laughing throughout the show. Why?

Aubrey Plaza’s character is me, apparently. (With several extra zeroes of net worth.)

What a douche.

My DH told me the same thing!

It's just very funny to me that you thought it was the "best quote of all time," and then misquoted it!

Episode 1 delivered. Lots of open questions and mysteries to answer.

What does everyone think of the swimsuit-changing screen? I predict that the husband was purposely pushing boundaries. This is open to interpretation, but I took the dialogue about workplace claims to mean sexual harassment claims against him. People like that often act subtly in the beginning, with a keen sense of exactly how much they can push while keeping the target unsure whether anything objectionable happened.

At least there is still murder!

It made no sense to me that Jennifer Coolidge’s husband didn’t want her assistant at the hotel but then today I thought that maybe he is planning to murder her. That would also explain the whispering.

Yes agree, that’s the obvious take-away…but maybe they have some other storyline up their sleeve! As of now, the stage is being set for the blond “mommy” wife to feel a twinge of jealousy and for her husband and the brunette to get it on. The dull couple is clearly and suddenly feeling inadequate in their boring relationship…

Your husband thinks you’re similar to the Aubrey Plaza character? Oh man.

Yeah. That is not a compliment. She is so uptight and plain rude, extremely rude.

Audrey's character=zero fun. She also has zero sex drive with her husband.

If I were going on a fun vacation, she's the last one in that group I'd want to spend it with. She sucks the life out of the party.

Ooh, I can see that as a possibility.

Did others watch the interview segments after the show? Jennifer Coolidge and the young woman who plays the assistant were adorable together. They seemed to have genuine affection for one another.
